This number calls several times a day--does not leave a message. It is time to report this to the attorney general office!!
The caller asked for my husband first, then when he realized my son's name was also the same, he became very rude and claimed that's who he was ***ting.
Calls 4 to 5 times daily..s****ing at 8:00am ending 9:00pm...even on weekends! Sure glad I pay windstream extra for unlisted and to block telemarketers...It's auto dialed with no message left..very frustrating and am on no call list....STOP THESE CALLS !!! Thinking Windstream is making a lot of extra money using this approach to promote their telemarketing blocker..yeah right...
First the company was ONE TOUCH DIRECT and they were hire by windstream to sell to existing customer base, yes windstream gave them your number to hastle you to *****. they use an automated caller that ***g up to me on over 50 calles in three homes. i need to mention that i dont have caller id because its ten bucks a month from windstrem. one touch the telemarketer were called back 8 times after i gave into buying caller id 6 weeks prior,. i called back on the **** ups and each time they told me that they would give a supervisior the info to remove me. they just keep calling and calling so i exposed them and intend to file action a***nst them. they are located in tampa. i filed every complaint possible and found thet the owner Ron Benson of One Touch Direct was charged with securities fraud in Arkansas for telemarking under another company name. its online google arkansas with ron benson and read it. criminal activity like this under florida law should keep him from getting a license. mean while Florida investigating. if you have complained about this number complain on line at flori*****v they only respond to large numbers of complaints. you can email me for more info Windstream****[email protected]
****-up can't call the number back. called the number on my cell phone and windstream answered trying to permote so****ing. I stop him and told him if it was that good of a deal send it in the mail with the bill. so I can read it at my lesure

Call is one of many toll free numbers that come in under the caller ID of "Toll Free Svc." I've s****ed answering but not saying anything and letting the phone sit with an open line. Next, I'm going to s**** answering with an ear-piercing scream directly into the mouthpiece.
too much calling am a sick person and on the do not call list.
numerous calls but wont leave message. 5148
**** @ YM explaining that your phone company can put a trap on your phone....Hell the caller is Windstream---they are the phone company and they are harrassing you with telemarketing...DUH
Received several calls this morning. No answer. Called the number back and spoke with a Windstream operator/telemarketer. Was told that theywere having problems with their automatic dialer and that many people had called to complain. Offered to remove name from call list; however, this action does not take effect for at least 4 weeks.
This call is coming from Windstream trying to sell internet service. I have told them NUMEROUS times to take me off of the list but they do not listen. I just called them a***n and told them that if I get one more call, I will cancel my windstream service. Of course, she apologizes and "will take this matter to her supervisor right away"...yeah, we'll see!
Got a call from this number at 8am and this is Sa****ay. Asked for me by my first name, I asked if they were a solicitor, she said "salesperson, yes". I returned with "dont call here a***n, I am on a do not call list" and I ***g up. If this is indeed a Windstream number selling DSL then their sales folks are *****ed up as I have Windstream DSL and have had it since it was available here in 03 when it was Alltel. Calling a WATTS number back might not get you the correct party that calld you as Windstream is a landline telco and rent and lease toll free numbers for routing telemarketing from local numbers, similar to buying a phone card for long distance prepaid which also routes through other systems. As far as Windstream itself goes I normally dont get unsolicited calls from them but have gotten an occasional mailer or email showing new offers or plans should I decide to want it but so far I've never gotten a call without having asked them to call other that recently to ask if all was well after our recent ice storm and that was from operations, not sales.
They call and dont leave a message. They are wasting their time,we screen all of our calls. If we aren't expecting a specific call to come through and they dont speak to the ma****e then they aren't worth our time. If the call would be answered, then they would be rea****g the county morgue.
THIS NUMBER COMES UP ON CALLER ID, BUT NO NAME...I GET CALLS AT LEAST 4 OR MORE TIMES PER DAY, EVEN ON WEEK ENDS
THIS NUMBER CALLS AT LEAST FOUR TIMES PER DAY, **** UPS, NO MESSAGE LEFT, NO ONE ON THE LING
Keeps calling. Do not resond or leave message. On the No Call list. But they keep calling anyway.
Got a call from this number earlier today. Never answer unless I know who is on the other line. But I typed the number into Google and wound up here. Glad to know who it is, or supposedly is. These types of calls unnerve me.
I answer the phone, and no one is there. ????
It is very ironic that we pay Windstream to block telemarleter calls - but they feel free to not honor that service that we pay them for. Our internet is also from Windstream. I do not want or need any more of their services.
I have one question: How can someone obtain a toll-free number and no one can hold them accountable for their use of it? Give me a break! Phone companies are the biggest scammers around! They don't get enough money from your bill - so they sell your number to two- bit operations. Then, they charge you more if you want an unlisted number! Who's the criminal?! NO recourse for us! Call and complain and where does that go? "Sorry, ma'am but we don't know who owns that number." Yeah, right!
When I answered, I was told that the caller's name is Mohammed. (He had a slightly foreign accent.) He said he was with Windstream. Then he asked me how much I was paying a month for my Windstream account! If this was a genuine Windstream call, he would already have known how much I pay--whether for DSL, etc. I told him that I couldn't understand him as I have a hearing problem and his s***ch was difficult to comprehend. He advised he would call back. I will ***not*** answer the next time around as I have Caller ID and will spot it or a similar number. (Unfortunately, Windstream does use 888 numbers from time to time with legitimate calls!)
says toll free svs; frequent calls; no message;
Caller never said a word after I said*****o. I could hear breathing. After about 45 seconds caller ***g up.
Who should I contact when I get harassing calls? Local phone companies have varying policies on whether to call the phone company or the police first. Some recommend that you first call the phone company's business office and explain the problem. A representative will connect you with the "annoyance desk." Other phone companies may require you to file a formal complaint with local law enforcement before they will deal with the matter. To find out what your phone company's policy is, contact the business office and ask for****istance. For serious threats, if life or property are threatened, or if calls are obscene, you should call the police and file a report. Provide as much information to law enforcement as you can. Indicate the gender of the caller and describe the caller's voice. Note the time and date of the call(s). What did the caller say? How old did he/she sound? Did the caller seem intoxicated? Did he/she have an accent or s***ch impediment? Was there any background noise? Was a phone number/name displayed on the Caller ID device? What can my local phone company do if I am receiving harassing calls? If the calls are frequent or particularly threatening, the phone company can set up a "Trap" on your phone line. The Trap allows the phone company to determine the telephone number from which the harassing calls originate. You must keep a log noting the time and date the harassing calls are received. Traps are usually set up for no more than two weeks. The phone company does not charge a fee for Traps. A phone company service called Call Trace may also be able to help track down harassing calls. Immediately after receiving a harassing call, you enter the code *57 on your phone and the call is automatically traced (1157 on rotary phones). Call Trace is easier than using a Trap since the customer does not have to keep a phone log. But Call Trace technology works only within the local service area. (Look in the "Customer Guide" section of the phone book or the phone company's web site for a description of your local service area.) Call Trace must be set up in advance by the individual receiving harassing calls, and it requires a fee for use. However, in situations where the phone company would ordinarily use a Trap, you might not be charged if the phone company suggests that Call Trace be used as an alternative. Be sure to ask.The information collected from Call Trace or from a Trap is turned over to law enforcement personnel, not the customer. Law enforcement officers try to stop the harassing calls by either warning or arresting the harasser. With both Call Trace and a Trap, your phone conversations are not listened to or recorded by the phone company. Is the phone company always able to solve harassing phone call problems? No. If the caller uses a phone booth or multiple phone lines, the phone company and law enforcement officials may never get enough identification to take further action. In cases like these, c****ing your phone number might help. Also, you might want to get an unlisted or unpublished number. In addition, the tips listed below for discouraging other types of unwanted calls may be of help. What can I do to stop harassing calls without going to the phone company or police? First, simply **** up on the caller. Do not engage in conversation. Typical crank callers are seeking attention. You have "made their day" if you say so****ing to them or express shock or anger. If the silent treatment does not work, you might try putting a message like this on your voice mail system:I'm sorry I/we can't come to the phone right now but you must leave a message. I/we are receiving annoyance calls and the phone company has a trap on this line. If you do not leave a message I/we will****ume that you are the annoyance caller and this call will be traced. If you answer the phone and the harassing caller is on the line, another suggestion is to say: "Operator, this is the call." Then **** up. Or say the word "trap," what time it is and the date; then **** up.

BEWARE!! This is most likely NOT Windstream!! My mother is a senior. She rec'd this same call. I had advised her not to do ANY business over the phone and give me a call anytime someone tried to solicit her via the phone. She called me today. The guy was slick. He told her that he was with her local phone company (He didn't say which company, just a ***ue statement). He wanted to sell her internet service, phone service, and a computer. He was going to include a modem, screen, and keyboard...well, how do you use a computer without the pc????? I'm pretty sure you don't!! Almost convinced her to bite. Instead she got a call back number. He said he was ***e and was only available for a few hour time frame. He also wanted personal information like...who do you call...where are they located...how many calls do you make a month...who are they too...are they local?? or distant numbers... Way tooo many questions. If he was with Windstream, which is her local carrier then he would have already known that she has her long distance service through windstream and doesn't subscribe to the internet services. This is a scam! I tried to call Mr. ***e at the call back number of 888-586-6706 but was unable to reach anyone or any message ma****e. This is not a business practice. I was planning on letting Mr. ***e know to back away from MY mother and loose her number or I would have him turned over to the proper authorities quicker than he could say.."I'm Sorry!" Do NOT let your family members get caught up in the sly of these folks!! I will protect mine!
Calls many times of the day and night. Won't leave a message. Very annoying, especially on Sundays.
BTW, a computer does the calling and it waits to hear a loud voice before it connects you to the salesperson. If you don't answer loud and clear right away you'll get ***g up on.
I called the number back and it was Windstream trying to sell Internet service. We're on the Do Not Call registry also but if you're a customer of the company that calls you then the registry does not apply to that company. Too bad!
We are on the do not call list, and if you call a***n at this number, we will report.
Had same problem. I finally called them back. It is windstream calling to offer you high s***d DSL. Told him to take me off the list. Very polite operator. Hope this stops them from calling
They call me many times a day and keep ****ing up after they hear my voice. No one speaks
This number calls my home the same time every day. I have no idea who it is.
