Spammer cheesy delta plane without markings
I received a postcard ,however the FREEBIE was two RT's on JetBlue Airlines. I tried to swap it for a Slushy at 7/11 to no avail. Enjoy your trip ---
Received postcard with United Airlines logo reading "Congratulations! In cele***tion of our Grand Opening in your area you are going to receive 2 Round Trip Airfares to anywhere in the continental US. Call within 48 hours. You will also receive as a bonus 3 day 2 night hotel stay. We have been trying to contact you! (this is not a timeshare or land sale offer)" When I called the number and asked for their address, they said they were a third party doing marketing for "Travel Direct" but would not give me their address. They did confirm that attending a sales presentation was required to claim my "prize". When I asked for the name of their company (the marketer) the person claimed she worked for "Premier Athletics of Clearwater, Florida" but a web search for this name revealed no connection to any marketing company. Most likely a scam.
thanks for the warning. got a post card with Delta Airlines. seen this and scredded it
2 Round Trip Airfares This is a scam! They use airline logos without authorization to add credibility to their claims. I called 888-639-6990 and asked for their address. They put me on hold. They couldn't give me an address but stated they were taking reservations for RSVP code STX 1105 for Perfect Travel in Fort Worth, TX. There is not a record of a Perfect Travel in Fort Worth, TX. Don't become a victim.
Received same deal with Southwest logo on top. Thanks everyone forposting. I think I'll skip this .one

Hi, I too was taken by this "so called" travel agency. We received a birthday cele***tion in the mail, we called them and set up an appointment to meet with them. My fiancee and I went to a presentation on Sa****ay in Warwick, RI and listened to a 90 minute presentation. We had been advised that we were to receive a netbook (laptop computer) and a $300 coupon for Walmart. The low end of the deal was $2,000, and high end was $9000 to become a member. I found it strange that 3 people came to speak to us including the owner; and he reduced the price to $2000 to try and sell us this membership. He sat with us for an additional 15 minutes. When we refused his offer, we were advised that we could collect our gifts (already told several times that they were there awaiting for us), but when we went outside the room, the sales person said: "I fibbed, I said that you would be getting your gifts, but we just ran out of the laptops. We will be receiving more in on Monday and we will ship them out to you no later than June 14th, but you will receive them. If you don't then you can call us at this number..." She then handed us a paper that stated we would be mailed the gifts. We didn't even leave with the $300 food voucher from Walmart. It was then that I suspected a scam operation. I am just thrilled that we did not invest in that company and only wasted a few hours of our time. Never a***n!
Dave,Got the same postcard. Let me know if you want me to send it (or a pdf of it) to you. I figured it was a scam when I saw it. I practice law in *****chusetts and it became personal when I saw the postcard had a MA return address. If United is going after these crooks, please let me know if I can help.Things are tough enough in this economy without con artists giving people false hopeJoseph M. Got the same postcard with United logo. Since I work for United I immediately knew it was a scam. I'm sending this to the company legal department to take legal action a***nst these scammers.
I got a postcard with a united airlines logo at the top of the card almost as if it was sponsored by the airlines. It stated "In cele***tion of our anniversary...", I called the same number and was promised 2 round trip tickets for 3 days and 2 nights at a Marriott or Holiday Inn if we attended a 60-90 minute presentation about Top Notch Travel a new full service travel agency s****ing up in our area. Although they said the company has been around for years and the presentation was not a time share just information about their new to the area company. Jeanna at extension 105 said that they hoped we'd use them for all our travel after the presentation. She asked our names and if we were married and did we make over $50,000. a year in combined income. Why would you ask if you weren't selling so****ing? I'm not interested in buying into any vacation aka time share deal. If it was a new company why wouldn't you have the presentation at your new location? Sounds fishy to host it at the Hilton Garden Inn near the airport in Warwick. After reading other posts I think I can figure out what's going on and won't be wasting my time. Also I couldn't find any company in RI registered under that name.
We also received the same offer-so glad I checked & found your message. Thanx!
Lisa,Yhank you for do***enting this horrible experience. We received the same offer and it smelt like a rat immediately. You saved us the trouble of even looking further into it
We received a mailer with the number 888-639-6990 as a contact. We called and were told we would receive a free laptop computer if we went to a 60-90 minute sales pitch. We went to the Hampton Hotel in Anchorage Alaska and listened to the presentation -the company involved is Travel To Go. Travel To Go is a scam. We listened for 60 minutes to the sales pitch, got a personal sales pitch twice and then sat for 30 minutes waiting for our "free computer." At this point we were told they were out of computers despite the fact that they had two more planned seminar sessions that day. We were told more computers were being ordered or they could mail us a computer. We were told -rather shadily-to return to the Hampton Hotel on Thursday to pick up the "computer." No place to get the computer or contact name was given, After pressing for details we were****ured that Travel To Go would still be at the hotel on Thursday, but I have my doubts. The scam is they want you to spend between 2000 (low end) up to 10,000 for membership in a travel club which supposedly gets you discounts that justify their upfront fee. This from a business that can't even fulfill its basic deal. The deal was I listen fro 90 minutes and get a free laptop computer (granted laptop computers can be found online for as little as $144.00). Well we listened for 90 minutes and got NOTHING!!!! Unless you have tons of vacation time and/or LOVE cruises don't bother with this scam because it won't pay off. even then it won't pay off according to all the complaints about Travel To Go that I have now read. And they claim great customer service! HA!
