debt collector, could not answer my questions.
left no message
Each State is different and if u live in Florida it is Five Years. Florida law sets the statute of limitations for unpaid debts at five years. This means that if you do not pay back your payday lender, the lender has five years to use the court system to collect the debt. The payday lender may still use other ****ods to collect the debt, such as contacting you by telephone or engaging the services of a collection agency, even after the statute of limitations expires. They can not sue in court but can still call , Tell them to F*** Off! Unless this is a student loan and then there is no statute.Hope this helps,
They just called me too... I never answer 800 numbers. If it's that important, they can leave a message.
they just called me
Check your state's statute of limitations
called twice back to back no message. Don't know the number
order your credit report
They call for a Tanya Meyers on this no. Inspite of me telling them that I have this # since 3 yrs now, trhey keep calling. I have asked them numerous times to stop calling me and put me on their do not call list, they keep calling.Pls do the needful.
Check your credit report for when the original company charged it off. Seven years from that date.
I keep getting calls from this number and they dont leave a message and when i anser there is no one there.
its a scam
How do you find out if a debt has expired?
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT. PLEASE STOP CALLING
They called me too on my cell phone no less. They were very unprofessional, downright rude and were calling about an old debt that has expired and they are attempting to reage it. So I called the original creditor and told them about the ***s that they turned my account over to and that I am going to tell everyone I know not to ever due businsess with these clowns ever a***n.The debt has expired. You cannot do anything about it and I am not ****** enough to enter into another agreement with these s***bags and let them reage it. Suggest you all do the same. Check to see when the debt expired or if it already has. Plaza is obviously a bottom tier collection agency, the bottom of the barrel who use loan shark like tactics to scare the naive into paying off a debt. Also, be sure to report them when they break the law. With enough fines and such a lack of professionalism, they will be out of business soon.
called saying they were trying to collect a debt. wanted me to verify last 4 of my social, I asked for theres, person asked will you verify it to be_ _ _ _ and i then ***g up. this caller had a third world accent and I asked 3 times from what business they were calling and 3 times I couldnt understand what HE was saying!!! Be Aware
I have the same on my phone, I also purchased phones that have call block and it works the same way but easier. I love it!
Plaza A**. another bottom feeder looking to strike goldfrom folks who have never had to deal with this type of harassment. If your reading this, you have a computer. Why not get ainternet phone service that offers call blocking??These companies are cheap, and do a fantastic job of keeping these maggots from ruining your peace.Check it out.. It has worked for me for two years, and I "NEVER"know they've called untill I check my call record...........SWEET
Fed-up: Thanks for identifying the caller and the helpful info. In many areas land-line and cable phone service subscribers can dial *60 for "Call Blocking" to stop harassing telephone calls. This forces the harassers to rotate your number to another of their phone lines, thus increasing their costs of operation. My phone service provider only allows 10 callers before I have to delete one to add another. Still, it has greatly decreased the number of harassing phone calls. I keep a list of current numbers on my Call Blocking list which I have found helpful.
They keep calling my cell number asking for someone unidentified to me. I tell them i'm not that person and they keep calling..
send them a certified letter telling them you do not intend on paying an uncollectible debt. asking them to remove you from their database. telling them over the phone does nothing.
Plaza****ociates. They purchase old debts and try to scare people in to paying when the statute of limitations is up. I have an eleven year old iden***y theft case that they want to collect on. Federal limit is seven years, NY state is six years but they continue to bother me about it. Even after I told them that I wasn't legally obligated to discuss it and demanded they stop contacting *****ey also violate FCC regulations by using auto dialers with no one to speak to.
No one on the line.
