Leave a Commentsorry, he was a "windows tech operator" and got very angry with me, tried telling me that Windows and Microsoft are separate companies.
Received a call from a Microsoft representative, Edward. He told us he was going to email us an update to fix computer of said virus, so we told him the computers not on. Called him back after reading here stating that the computer's already been hacked and frozen and asked if he could send someone to fix the computer. He replied, "We cannot as we are located in Miami, Florida." I asked, "Is this a scam, is Microsoft located in California?" and he said he would call back in a few minutes not doing so.
Adlene called all in a panic telling me she was from Windows OS and there were numerous reports from my computer... had me run a cmd -****oc and read back my # identifying my computer.My daughter got fussy so I didn't do anything just took her number to call back.Is this bogus or real??

bogus call from a company saying they are calling from Microsoft to fix my computer. They try to convience people to download a program to fix ones computer, but in fact it is a virus scam... so avoid doing anything they say to do.
