Leave a CommentThis is Contact Resource Services and it is likely a collection agency. This is totally legit. They likely have a wrong number because the person who had the cell number before gave it to them in the application and has since ditched it (cell companies only keep unused numbers for 6 months or so then re-issue them).
Contact Resource Services
received call tonight from 1-888-771-5803,looking for someone I never heard of (ever). Caller accused me of misleading her, guess she thought I was actaully the person she was looking for (Not)Don't call back w***ver you are. Pick your numbers wisely and don't waste other peoples time with accusations.
These people keep calling me even though we have nothing to do with them! When I call back on Sa****ay during their business hours, their office is always closed! I never filed any law suit or owe anyone money. I just want them to stop calling me!
Called looking for somebody that I don't know, which I told her and she said she was going to call me every day to torment me until I let her speak to the person she asked for.
Very rude person (Luann) that called and left message with phone number, said 2 hours to call back, I was on holidays. Did not say who they are with and the number was Unknown.
This ****s, obviously a scam, they try and get your Social insurance, credit card and other information from you. They say you own them money and will give you a break if you just pay a little of it right now.
wrong number
I have been called by this company several times a day for a few weeks now about debts owing on credit cards I have never had, some I have never even heard of. I am one of the few that do not own any credit cards and never have and I have gone to the bank, looked at my credit and these cards i 'owe' are not on there (and i have told them this) yet i supposedly owe thousands. How can I make them stop? For those of you saying 'pay your bills and they will stop' how is this my fault?? same thing happened to my brother (also no credit cards). They call randomly and hope to find someone who may have 'forgotten' and will pay.
I am a vistor who just arrived in the country too. None of my financial accounts are in North America. Where I come from, do not call lists are enforced and this type of activity is highly illegal and VERY punishable.
These people have been calling me for the last few days. As I am an exc****e student in Ca***a I have no debts - the only bill I pay is for my cell phone which is paid automatically by direct debit. Therefore there is nothing any legitimate collection agency could want to collect from me. Should I call the number and tell them where to go, or keep ignoring it?
Called my house for someone that doesn't live here, just a plain wrong number I have said many many times. Now I called there and told them as well. take my number off your calling list, "This person doesn't live here" . I am going to call the cops, this is just plain harrassment, when it's not even about ME?????
Even though debtors do owe money, they do have rights as well. They do not need to be harassed constantly about debts that are from many, many years ago. Besides, if someone has a debt load that they are paying off regularly and then loses their job (say layoff) and can't pay, does that make them a criminal? I don't think so. Don't be so ******* others because next time, it could be YOU in that situation.
WOW. leave it to a bunch of debtors to rant about the stresses of collection calls.Honestly, just pay your **** bills. Instead of walking in a store and sticking merchandise in your jacket and running out without paying, you are swiping a piece of plastic and running out, with no intentions of ever paying it back. How come you are to afraid to just bluntly steal in the store?Classy.Dont buy what you cant afford hot ****!p.s. shame on Debtors who make their kids lie for them on the phone to avoid dealing with the issue. you are raising them to be the next generation of debtors. learn from your terrible mistakes and TRY to set a good example. PLEASE
you are all a bunch of fools, You owe money people, this is not a scam . YOu are losers that have nothing better to do then to make up stories to cover up your own sad credit history's . I must give you credit for your creativity . PAY YOUR BILLS AND JUST MAYBE THE CALLS WILL STOP!!
"ryan" from contact resource centre keeps calling and leaving messages saying it's in my best financial interest that I call back. he gives me an account # that I have never even heard of. I've heard this is a scam?
My wife rec'd a call from 888-771-5803 0n Monday Oct.26,2009 from a male stating I had a C.T.C. acccount for over $2000.00, was she prepared to pay it?He then asked when I would be home, and asked me to call. I did call when I got home and spoke to a female (Nitashia). She asked for the file # which I told her (the male caller had left on the initial caal), she verified my d.o.b. and telephone # and I told her I had never had a C.T.C. credit card. She asked me to fax a copy of my drivers liscence to (905)855-2457 and the calls would stop.
I never thought there are certain companies who operate above the lawand can disturb the lifes of the people. The Police and RCMP are awareof these companies and received alot of complains from different people. These people are not Credit Collection Companies and do not follow the legal procedures of our system. Since they bought from an auction a delinquent account, they can harassand disrupt the lives of different people. They don't care if you are the one they looking or not they call any house or business they think that person is or related. What happened " Do not call registry law "?They hide, c****e or use different country codes to call you every day.
There are ***dreds of Companies that Purchase Bad Credit Debts from Banks wi put them up for Auction in (Blocks) of let say 5 or Ten Million Dollars, and might be paid 15 to 20 Cents on the outstanding ballance of the Debt., And then they try to Collect the Debt (Not The Bank) These people are not Credit Collection Companies. But since they are the legal owers of the Debt they are not controlled like the Legitimet Collection Agency's are and when they Win there Bid and purchase the Debt from the Banks or Credit Card Companies they inherit the rights of that paticular Financial Ins***ution. Since they are cnsidered to be the actual Creditor they dont come under the same rules. Anyway they will do abything to get there (So Called) money However if they are unable to collect from you after a setain period they in Turn Sell There rigts to Another Bidder, and s on Till some bidders might pay as little as 1 Cent on the Dollar it depends on how many times the Debt was Put up for Auction. They really are not much of a threat because they are not likely to Spend any Money to take any legal action because thhey still have the Risk of the Debtor claim Bankruptcy and then its really over. Tell them to go to***** and wait it out they WILL Give up.

Having a standard also allows the public to have a better understanding of what collection agencies can and can't do. The regulations forbid collection agencies from: * contacting you until six days have passed from sending you written notice of the following: • the name of the creditor • the balance owing • the name of the agency and its authority to demand payment * continuing to contact you if you did not receive the notice unless a second copy of the written notice is sent to an address provided by you, and then contact may only be made six days after sending notice; * contacting you if you send a registered letter to the agency saying that you dispute the debt and suggest the matter be taken to court; * contacting you if you or your lawyer notify the agency by registered mail to communicate only with your lawyer, and you provide the lawyer's name, address and telephone number; * contacting you on Sunday, except between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and on a holiday; * contacting you other than by ordinary mail more than three times in a seven-day period without your consent, once the agency has actually spoken with you; * using threatening, profane, intimidating or coercive language, or using undue, excessive or unreasonable pressure; * continuing to contact you if you have told them that you are not the person they are looking for unless they take reasonable precautions to ensure you are that person; * giving false or misleading information to any person; * recommending to a creditor that a legal action be commenced a***nst you without first sending you notice; * contacting your employer except on one occasion to obtain your employment information, unless your employer has guaranteed the debt, the call is in respect of a court order or wage****ignment or if you have provided written authorization to contact your employer; * contacting your spouse, a member of your family or household, or a relative, neighbour or acquaintance except to obtain your address and telephone number unless the person contacted has guaranteed the debt or you have given permission for the person to be contacted.Collection Agencies Acthttp://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90c14_e.htm

Calls everyday looking for my husband, I called the BBB and when they checked it out on the computer she told me not to respond, apparently they are a big scam... I asked the lady on the phone where she got my number she said my husband had given it to her....That was just a load of ****! She also told me it was a financial matter and gave me a claim number which I will not respond to.
Called themselves "Contact Resource Services" Asked about an employee. She was a bit snarkey when I told her that person doesn't work here. She insisted he left the phone number for contact. Asked a few questions about how to get a hold of him.
The person just s****ed calling, her name is Amy, she said she was from "Contact Resource Services" tried to sound like some banking companyabout an employee of ours. She got a bit hostile when I told her he no longerworks here. I even asked her if she is a collection agency, she ignored my question. She wanted to speak to the owner of the company, so I told her he is gone for the day. She then went into detail about our passed employees history with his account, I told her I dont need to hear all that, I will let the owner know they called. She thinks I am dumb. Ha! So I googled the phone numer she left me. Take that ****** collection agency!!.
