Leave a CommentSold my 84-year-old ***her $177.84 in subscriptions for 3 magazines with a promise of $300 in gas coupons on 5/4/10. He has received nothing.
Business Subscriber Services I wrote a check for $177.84 on June 7, 2010, for 2 magazines, 2 years of National Enquirer and 1 year of Star. Have not received anything but a bunch of coupons for restaurants. My check has been cashed. I talked to a guy named Trent on 9/16/10, who said he was checking into my subscriptions, but have never heard back from him either.
took an enquirer subscription for 2 years with the promise of a $300.00 GAS CARD,it's been 2 months, and nothing!!
This company was suppose to send out $300 in gas coupons. I have called them every week since Feb 7th 2010 and today is March 29 2010 and I still not received the $300 gas coupons. Of course, they have ALWAYS mailed them out, and they must have gotten lost and are re-mailing them RIGHT NOW.
He told me my subscription was about to run out. Later on the mag. label I saw it will expire 16Feb12. He offered a 56-issue subscription plus 50 $10 grocery coupons which he said I would have to activate online or by telephone when I got the subscription details, or else I could get a $300 gas rebate after saving gas receipts. I opted for the grocery coupons with the subscription, and insisted he send me an invoice for the total amount and I would pay by check, which he was not so happy with and said I was negative. I told him it was with good reason. Now I need to get hold of Sporting News and tell them what's up and cancel this subscription. A lot of magazines churn accounts by mail by telling you your subscription is running out. Sometimes I send the offer back in the paid postage envelope and write on it "Do Not Churn!" This Jeffrey was personable and got me at a weak moment.
Same thing as Jerry below. They called, said they were from Discover magazine and made me an attractive offer to renew my subscription. Since I was going to renew anyway, I bit on their deal. I later discovered that they are a scam.
Called me renew my subscription to Discover Magazine and offered a lot of special deals for three year subscription. I gave them my credit card information. At the end they told be thier company was Buisness Subscribers. I call discover Magazine and they said that this outfit is a big scam.
Called and offered me a mag for a really low rate. Charged my credit card and never placed the order for the magazine
I am getting charged on my debit card by so****ing with this phone number and when i have called this number (several times) to see what I am getting charged for, only a computer answers and no returned calls.
