United War Veterans War Council looking for used clothing and household items. Not spam per se but apparently they don't have to follow any DNC rules.

I wouldn't mind so much if they simply were listed on my caller ID or if they would leave a message. Sick of being called everyday by "Unavailable". I want these calls stopped.

I keep getting calls from this number, stating they are trying to a location verification. I am not sure what this means. I called them back and it as it is stated above but not sure what they want from me.

It is a war veteran organization taking donations of clothing and all kinds of household goods to raise money to pay for the Veteran's Day Parade in NYC in November.  I spoke to them on the phone and they ask you to schedule to leave your donations at the curb on a particular day that they will be in your neighborhood for pickup of the items.  Here is their website  http://www.unitedwarveterans.org/ .   I notice you can also drop off donations at the Unique Stores (used items stores).  I think it is for a good cause and a good way to recycle stuff instead of just throwing in the garbage.

multiple calls every day

They still call me without leaving a message. Finally today, they called a***n at 9:10am so I answered and told them to put me on their do not call list.I will post another follow up if they call anymore.

For those who have received calls from this number and wonder who it is, the listing for this number is United War Veterans Council, 346 Broadway, Suite 807, New York, NY 110013.They called me yes****ay and twice this morning. They **** up when the answering ma****e s****s.They are not listed by the BBB charities check leading me to believe that it is a phony.

They call all the time and I said no the first time, now I just harass them back on the phone.

It's the United War Veteran's pick up council. I decided to call them and put a stop to the calls. I asked to be put on their do not call list and the operator said she would do that.

8888218982 - got two calls already - they don't leave message

This scam telemarketer called at 1:35 pm Sat 03/06/10. Did not leave a message, however when i called back at the above number they announce themselves as United Wars Veterans Pickup Service. This is a scam.
