This is a scam. They send e-mails confirming a purchase from their company. They provide this telephone number for customer service. When they answer they say they are "PayPal." I had some rather unpleasant things to say to the scammer who answered, but they are most definitely NOT PayPal.
Scammers even called me, I never pick up numbers not familiar to me.
An order been placed confirming
email rec'd for order for $500. I called phone # on the email, had to wait 6 minutes and then a voice said GoodBye and disconnected the call.
Rec'd email saying my order for $500 was ready to ship. I called phone # and got wait time of 3 minutes. After 6 minutes a woman's voice said "Good-Bye and connection was broken.
Received an email saying my order for $500 would ship 12/07! When I called the phone number on the email I was informed that my wait time was three minutes. Then I got the usual "your call is important to us … please hold for the next executive". I hold for six minutes when a woman's voice came on the line and said "good-bye" and then the connection broke.
