Leave a CommentCalled the number given and they could not tell me what the problem was. No amount - no acct info. They only gave me their personal name, that he was only the answering service and would have to forward me to someone else.
This same guy is trying to settle a debt for me also. He said they were going to serve papers on a 7000+ debt. He said he could settle for 2500. I have him emailing me his company information along with the exact credit card he is collecting from.
They are fonney
I recieved a Private number from an individual who stated he was serving me with a court summons as well. I asked for a phone number and contacted the number issued. Richard offered me to settle with an amount. DO NOT CONFIRM ANY DEBT. He tryed to get it out of me that I owed debt. You do not need to say a thing! Check the statutes of limitation for your state. After informing him that my Mother was a civil criminal judge in my county and that I would check out if I am under any pending court hearings he stated that it was not actually a summons but a cleary outlined settlement like the one he was giving. He continued on to insist he was not a debt collector and that, although at the beginning of the call said he needed to retrieve my legal do***ents, he did not have the name of the law firm handling my do***ents that would be presented to my home. I then informed him that it is illegal to state you are intending to sue someone when it is only the intention to collect a debt. It is also illegal to state you are not a debt collection agency when you actually are. At no time did he rant of the "This is an attempt to collect a debt anything you say can be used in order to collect the debt" which is also required by law. Educate yourself people. Don't let punks like this harass you. As long as you call them back they have no legal right to try to contact you at work or through family and friends.http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtmGreat link. It details what is illegal for a collector attempting to collect a debt. Using profanity is one of them. It also has links to the agencies needed to file complaints a***nst them. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELVES. DO NOT CLAIM ANY DEBT EVEN IF YOU MAY HAVE HAD IT. THEY THRIVE ON FEAR.
Just curious ....Is anyone else from Ohio? Also, has anyone actually received this "summons"?I found one place called TR Recovery from Tallmadge, OH (Cleveland area)
I just received a call from "Richard Padroza" for my husband and he called me an ignorant B_____! because I would not give him any information. Of course, he did mention $3000. which i think is odd considering most of the previous posts mentioned $3000. So****ing just isnt sitting right about this.
I have tried to look them up and have found no website and they are not listed with the dept. of corporations in any states.
I just got a call from this company at my mothers house with address from four years ago.. I tried to look them up via the phone number and all I am finding on line is for the most part are stories like ours.. I have not called them back but am very curious to find out if they are a legitimate company.. I have never received anything from them before..
First, I would suggest that anyone being harrassed by these folks, pull up all three of your free credit reports. Do this immediately. This is for your own safety. Check to see if the debt listed by these people is listed on any of the reports. In my case. I had someone's credit history combined with my own. This person lives in my city, has the same first and middle initial, and has one letter different in the last name. The credit agencies scrubbed my report of all references to this person in less than 18 hours. If you can find no issues with your credit reports and find no actual reference to a debt that they claim, I would immediately go to your local police department and file a charge a***nst this firm. I still can't honestly say if they are legitimate or not. My neice works at the police department here, and I will post any additional information that I can obtain.
I just got a phone call from them telling me I owe them $3,000. for a card that I had many years ago. The guy was very threatening and rude. I told them I am on disability and he s****ed to ask why and wanted me to tell him what my illness is. He then went on to say it must be AIDS since I live in San Francisco, for some reason he kept pressing me asking what my illness is. After I refused to tell him he s****ed to insult me. Very bizarre!
this same company just called me twice today saying my wife owes them $3000.00 or we will be taken to court and a lien put on everything that has my wife's name on it. Does anyone know anything about this company?
I received a paralegal phone call who left a message that I was being served and they needed to know where I'm at for me to sign the papers. I really really thought this was serious because she knew the name if my business/work, and it's city. How did she know this information?? does anyone have more clues as to whats going on. It seems all the claims I've read are recently during May.
keep calling with threating calls they have their phone number blocked ..i refuse to answer when they call until they unblock ..if you find out anything about them please let me know..ty
So are they real? They are calling me now saying I owe then over $3000 dollars.
They did the same thing with me!!!!
Also, they were calling themselves TR Discovery Verifications as of yes****ay. I spoke to a John Mason. My call to them was initiated by a call from a paralegal, Michael Jones, that told me a sealed legal summons was being delivered today to my address. He gave me the TR Discovery phone number.
I got a call from them yes****ay. They claimed I owed $3000+ on an overdrawn account from 2007, from my bank that I've done business with for 40 years. They said I could pay off the claim immediately for $2000. I told them they were GREATLY mistaken. I went immediately to my bank and of course, no such debt was owed. What is scary is that they had a great deal of my correct personal information and were supposedly reading directly off of my credit report. I pulled all three credit reports and found some incorrect personal information relating to a person with a similar name. I had the information corrected. However, this supposed $3000 debt was not to be found. I think that I am going to my local Police Station and filing a Complaint a***nst them.
I cant find anything real about this company they have given me several differant explanations for who they are. They told me i owe them 1800 dollars and refuse to verify the debt telling me they are suing me if i dont pay them 700 dollars within 48 hours
got a call from them today and talked extensivelyg they ely claimed to be with the TR discovery group. Spoke with a RICHARD Patrosa. Anyone have any information if this is a LEGIT credit collectoin company or not?
