Leave a CommentTold to call a1.888.907.0921 where i was told I be required to confirm resume information for 25 minutes. Called back and requested a physical address so I could contact appropriate authorities. They refused to give me a mailing address. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION.
Chill = shill, I dare bet
I received a text from 312-519-1016. The text said "Hi, I just reviewed your application for the Data entry position. Please call me at 888-907-4194" But prior to me calling, some one called private asking about a resume I submitted to collegerecruiter.com. They said that when i applied, I stated that I was interested in going back to school. Well this was a lie because I never applied, I just e-mailed the my resume. Plus why would I want to go back to school when I already have a bachelor's degree? I think the whole collegerecruiter site is a scam to lure ppl in getting information to send to thses schools, so they can harrass you about applying for to their school. It's all so annoying. Also how professional would it be to send a****ential employee a text message about a job. Calling or e-mailing would seem more appropriate. I hope this little information can help people out. I am glad I investigate numbers first before responding. I don't have time to waste with scams or such things. I am in need of a job. So sad.
Type" sites like employer-network.com" into google and read the company's stance on what they deem" privacy". Check it out.
I also told them that I was not interested in going back to school since I already have a degree but I just received an email from then telling me to go to their site employer-network.com to apply for jobs. Still seems a little phishy to me. You can't be too careful these days.
Chill out, guys. Employer Network actually does exactly what they say they do. I called in response to their text, which admittedly is somewhat odd. They knew my name, Caller ID apparently pulls up your information, and I got the same 5-25 minute explanation. I said sure, and they asked a series of questions, but nothing too intimate. They never asked for anything more personal than my phone number, and e-mail, which they already had, due to the fact that I put it in my resume and any applications I fill out. They asked a few questions about schooling, and I told them I wasn't interested. And that was it. My guess is they're using what they do as a way to talk to people about going back to school. I haven't heard anything from a school, so I'm guessing that when I said no, they took me off whatever list they had me on in the first place. All-in-all, not an unpleasant experience. I agree that people should be on the lookout for scams, but****ume at your own risk. Don't give out any information that you're not comfortable with and be smart about it. But in my opinion, at least, Employer network appears to be legit. Now those of you who want to can s**** screaming about how I work for them, etc., etc. = )
I got the same thing. Applied for a job on craigslist three days ago and just received a text message from 310-882-3204 asking me to call 888-907-0379. This is terrible that we have to be aware of scams even when applying for a job! Out of four jobs I applied for, only one was legit! Two others wanted my credit report and score before they would even set up an interview! Pretty di****able if you ask me...
I received this same text but I did not respond... it definitely sounds like a scam. What type of reputable employer would send you a text asking you to call them??? I wish there were some way to report these ***holes. It sounds like they are trying to collect personal information from people, it's really sad that they are trying to scam people but it's even sadder that they are targeting honest people looking for work. BE AWARE, NEW SCAMS ARE BEING THOUGHT UP EVERY DAY!!!
I got a text from 646 483 3646 saying than they had reviewed my application for the receptionist application and to call 888-907-4193. I don't recall apply for receptionist but since I'm looking for a job I called anyway, a guy answer knowing exactly who I was, he told me his name but I forgot and said he needs to confirm my information and do a pre screening for the position. He said it will take 5 to 25 mins. I said I will call him back, but after reading these posts I will not.
Same thing happened to me. I applied for a job i saw on craigslist and got a text from 267-294-6496 telling me to call this number about the position. I called and verified the information they already had on me =[ But I don't think I gave them anything new. Then they emailed me this "survey" with a chance to win $500 on completion. But the survey required even more personal information to fill out. Obviously I didn't do so... I'm just hoping I haven't *****ed myself by returning their call and verifying my initial information.
I applied to a job posting on craigslist with my resume last Friday. Today, I received the same text message from 312-519-1016 asking me to call 888-9070379. I have not called and probably won't at this point; I thought it very strange that any employer would text about reviewing an application.
I got a text too from 312-519-1016 and said to call 1-888-907-0379 about an admin. position. Called and got Employer Network. I asked what company they represented and they said just Employer Network. I told her that I didn't apply for anything. She said I applied yes****ay. No, I really didn't. And it was creepy. She did know my name when I called. They are prob. getting my resume from Monster or Career Builder. SCAM!
same happened to me... so****ing should be done. i haven't called back and don't think i want to now after reading your posts..
got a txt early this morning asking to contact 888 907 4193- he knew who i was as soon as phone call was answered. it sounded like a call center in the background.
i got that too!!!! im guessing its a scam.
Just got the same message regarding a job applicaiton for an admin position and to call them. To me they are not professional by sending me txt messages for me to call them. An email or an actual phone call would be more professional than a txt message.
got a text from 214-784-4159 saying they reviewed my application for an admin position and to call 888-907-4191. I called and spoke to Travis from employment network saying the company I applied at had received a large volume of applications and hired them to review the information on my aplication and if considered the company would call me...I told him I wouldn't gve out any info over the phone and that was it.
is this really a job or company? Or are they really a legitimate business trying to actually hire?
Text from saying to call 888-907-4193 just wanting to verify info that they have, it sounds very su****ious and really ****es me off that our home land security can not stop these people from harrassing real people that are desperately looking for real and legit jobs, the big problem I also have is how these places are able to get our info in the first place to just verify it over the phone in a suppose relation to helping the people get a job, this person said there office was in Orlando Florida, and I live in California, so how is someone in Florida going to find me a local job here?
I got a text from 312-519-1016 telling me to call 888-907-4193 saying they had reviewed my resume and wanted to set up an interview... no they said they were a 3rd party employee referral. And wanted to verify my information. All these **** people trying to ***** with people that are actually trying to get a job are really s****ing to **** me off!!!!!!
