Jaxtown Someone called and said I had filled out an online survey for a prize (a Walmart gift card). I told them I had not filled out a survey. It was almost like it was computer recording that was responding to voice commands. I told them I had not filled out any survey, but the woman kept talking. I asked if this was a recording and after a long pause, she said "no". I said "oh, because it sounds like you're not hearing a word I'm saying". Then there was silence. I hung up. An hour before I had received a text from someone in same area code that said i had won a Walmart gift card.

Jen These calls are from the Orlando Sentinel marketing department.The calls are automated and will continue endlessly.Phone the Sentinel at 497-420-5000. Select 0. Tell the operator you want to be removed from the calling list. She will transfer you to the correct department.We politely insisted our number was removed from the calling list. Said when we are ready to subscribe again we will contact them. It worked for us.(It is a bargain price for the newspaper.)
