Leave a CommentDidn't bother to answer this number as someone else noted the fishy number, 345 then 4321, DUH! DUH! DUH! I will report the number to CRTC.
Ignored the call. The number itself looks su****ious. 345-4321? yeah. definitely a scam
Very threatening and insistant on wanting information about what banking ins***ution our credit cards are from... Couldn't hardly understand him.
No response when answered and then ***g up on us
just tried getting my mastercard info. All of it. Said I won a free paid trip. I gave them bogus numbers. What a bunch of ****s then called me back from number
East Indian, said he was calling from Visa and Mastercard Customer Service centre. Asked for my security code. I wouldn't give it to him and asked how I know he was legitimate. He wanted me to give him the last 12 numbers of my CC number. I told him I knew that the first 4 were always the same and you could do a mathematical check on the number to determine whether it was a valid VISA/MC or not - that doesn't prove anything. He laughed and just kept repeating himself. Finally ***g up on him.
KK so i got a phone call from this same east Indian guy.. he kept saying "im calling from...." and everytime just before he was going to say what company hes calling from he would s**** laughing.... if this was a telemarketer or someone phoning from a company they would be more professional.... this is prob a scam and you should watch out
Got a call from 905-345-4321 asked where he was calling from, he said visa verification centre. I asked him what visa card company and he said visa verification a***n. He wanted security info but I told him I will call him back, he insisted he call back I said NO! So he gave me
phone rang but no one was there
I was called Nov 6 @ 6:45pm in PEI. Caller with East Indian accent wanted information about my visa or mastercard. When I asked what bank he was calling from, he asked the question a***n. A lot of noise in the background. I called local police to report scam and they just blew me off.
Caller called but did not respond immediately -makes me suspect it is a telemarketer with auto dial. Please stop these calls from getting through.
showed up on my call display-no listing for the number either residential or business. The ability to hide the iden***y of the caller needs to be stopped by the CRTC. 5045
My landline is registered on the DNCL however I just received a call from this number (905-345-4321). The male caller had a heavy East Indian accent and didn't speak clearly. I said "Hello" repeatedly and only heard mechanical noises. It didn't seem like the caller could hear me at first. When I asked if he was a telemarketer he abruptly ***g up. A reverse look up indicated no info registered however there are indications this number has been the source of a number of fraudulent calls.
have had several calls from this number. I first spoke his language heavy accent, but he didn't understand, he got frustrated when I kept saying wha! And ***g up. When he called back I told him I was on a do not call list, several times as he kept trying to go threw is speal finally he swore and ***g up! Today I see the number back on my telephone.
Unknown person says he loves me and wants to marry me.
This number calls multiple times a day. When I answer, they **** up on me. I've tried to call back & the number is disconnected. Today they called a***n, asked for a Mrs Smith (not my name) so I told him he had the wrong number. He said sorry & ***g up. The caller had a very heavy Indian accent. They just called back a***n & when I answered they ***g up on me ... very annoying!
just to add a little from my previous post....The only reason I answered the call in the first place, is because the area code is local to me. "Not Fooled - but fun"--how did you come across the physical address? I'm just curious, as I know the exact location you referred to...and I'm interested to know if you came across anything.
Just got a call from this number at 6:53pm EST Oct 16/09. I didn't answer until the 3rd ring, heard noise in the background(like a call center), but no one came on the line. After saying "hello" 3-4x's, a recorded message said "thank you" and disconnected the call. I'm not sure if this was just a verification step to make sure that it is an active phone number. Based on what I've read here, I'm confident they're going to call me back. I'm planning on calling my credit card company now.
Got a call Oct 16th at 5:44pm. Person calling had a very heavy accent (possibly East Indian) said was calling from Visa Rewards stating that I had enough points to redeem. I advised I didn't have a Visa and the caller immediately ***g up. This phone # came up on my call display and when I tried calling it, it was not in service. Beware....this is a scam
No ID. Answered the call and they ***g up! Very annoying!!
Called to advise us that I had won a trip to Florida and wanted to confirm Visa security card information. I did not give it and had a really hard time of getting rid of him.
I received two calls from this number - one in late September and one today Oct 15. The guy said that he was calling from "Credit Card Verification Center". I told him that I don't even have a master card, even though I have one. Then, he **** up immediately.I called both Master Card and Visa and told them about the case and informed the phone number. Now under investigation ...It might be tough to catch these guys. I believe that they are not based in Ontario, rather in India and they are using VOIP technology to disguise themselves.
recieved this call just before 7pm CDT a guy with a thick East Indian accent s****ed babbleing away. I could not understand a lot of what he was saying. I asked him to remove my nuber from the list. He said "no" and Why, I said it's the law in this country. He s****ed swearing back at me, I asked for a supervisor made the same request and still go refused. He asked me for my Visa# I told him to f#$k off ****heads! I haven't had a visa for 20 years LOL! As soon as I ***g up a call came through ID as 000-000-0000 I clicked it without answering
Google 'How to fake caller id' will show you how easy it is for these SOBs to fake caller id...
My call from this num was a fresh off the boat east indian calling himself brian. he said he was from "bmo master visa". It sounded like he was on a subway there was so much noise in the background. I ended up telling him that if he wanted to talk to me to call back from a clear line hoping that he would call with another number that I could trace but he never called back. I dont know if everyone else had the same amount of static on the line as I did but if so, I dont see how anyone could ever fall for this scam. W***ver found out the number's location should help this joker make up his mind that he should go back from whatever***** hole he came from.
I wish they would stop these crooks. If only I could get a hold of their scrawny neck I could strangle them. There are too many dirtbags trying to scam me out of my little OAP and CCP. I get too many phone calls like this and will have to stop the phone or pay for unlisted number if that helps. I live in BC and get calls from Ontario
called and didn't leave a message. calleback and got a record saying "the number you are calling has been disconnected"
To Stem : please report your finding to the police about the phone # being located from St Catherine, this is a very good information for the police...let get this guy.
To 'Not Fooled - but fun' : please report this guy to police.
Just found out the physical location of the phone. And yes, it's in St. Catherines. Not too far.. gonna go "canvas" for a newspaper in the Wellington / Lake / Duke st. neighbourhood. Should be interesting.
Most incredibly ****** Credit Card scam ever.Caller (almost impossible to understand - I speak 4 languages, so it wasn't me that was the problem) identifies himself as a T.D. Visa rep.I let him babble for a bit (he asked for my full name, Card #, and the security # on the back), before telling him "This is the ******est scam ever, I don't even have a F#%*ing TD Visa"Caller: You don't have a F#%*ing TD visa? i'm not sure, what is F$%*ing Visa?ME: ??? "did you just ask me if I have a F$%*ing TD Visa card?"Caller: "I just need to update your account then, because you have a different card."Me: "Laugh x 10, wait , let me check then."I then put the phone down, and s****ed playing my guitar. He stayed on hold, for about 3 minutes, then ***g up, then called back.I can't post what I told him when he called back.
This number just called me. He said his name was "Brian"? and that he was calling from "Master Visa". He wanted to know if I was a card holder. I told him I would not answer any of his questions. Then, he yelled at me "Ahhhh..." and ***g up. I tried calling back, but unlisted. I did a search on the net and found this number is located in Saint Catharines, Thorold, ON. It's a land line. I hope the police catch them.Never answer any questions from anyone you don't know. If your bank or credit card company calls, tell them you'll call them right back (use your own number to call back.)
Received a call from "Bank of Montreal Mastercard verification". I would be the recipient of a vacation package worth $8000. I would just have to confirm my iden***y. I was asked to read the 7 numbers in the signature box of my card. I made up 7 numbers, wrote them down and repeated them when asked. I was then given the first number of my mastercard number and the last and I was asked for the 8 in between to confirm my iden***y. I made up the numbers and wrote them down. I was put on hold while they confirmed my iden***y. A few minutes later, they came back to confirm that the numbers I had given them were correct. This time I transposed the last 2 digits and gave the excuse that I needed my reading gl*****.Whenever I get calls like this, I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible and I try to seem confused. Hey, who says you can't have some fun.
These SCAMMERS!!Today at 3:55pm, got a call from a "Court Niels" (weird b/c he had an HEAVY INDIAN ACCENT) he said that there was fraudulent activity on my card, someone took out $600. He asked to verify my Visa #, so I said that he should know if he was legit and ***g up. He called back still asking for the number...I asked him for his number, he gave me a number which DID NOT MATCH THE NUMBER HE WAS CALLING FROM!!!!BE CAREFUL AND NEVER GIVE ANYONE ANY INFORMATION ON THE PHONE!!!!!
I just got a call from them on Sat. Sept. 26 around 3:00PM. They said they were from Visa rewards and asked if I wanted my reward, all they needed was my exp. # and pin # on the back of my card. I couldn't understand him so I asked for supervisor, same guy came back as supervisor, When I s****ed to argue with them I told them I was calling Police he said "F*** off" and ***g up. I called Police they said # is out of Niagra Falls but couldn't do anything. I called bell they said it wasn't bell # they could do nothing. I called the # back myself and it was not in service.Watch Yourselves on this one.
Couldn't clearly make out the message - sounded like a telemarketer. Received 5:54 pm EST on September 14th, 2009.
