Leave a CommentI just saw the number when I got home.Su****ious, sequential numbers in a phone number, 3456789..... 905-3456789Think about it. I bet the phone next to it is 1800 000 0000 which I have seen too.Dont be afraid to be rude and then **** up. use call block if you have it.
Person asked for me by name and claimed he was making a Visa & MC "verification" call. When I mentioned that I am on a "do not call list" he said that only applies to telemarketers and they are not a telemarketing company. Very heavy ****stani or Indian accent, difficult to understand.Caller display sometimes shows 905 345-4321.They always call around 5:00 pm Atlantic.
Yea I keep getting the calls too! and when I call back (number is disconected) Isn't 905 a Maritime # ?Anyway this guy with the acccent asked me how much was on my credit card # - said they were a company that would negotiate my bank for a lower interest...said hold on I'll transfer you - I ***g up! heeheee but he did ask for Mrs. (husband's name) being a feminist I was ****ed- and that turned me from the s****!
I just got a call from this number too. It only rang 2 times, I normally don't answer strange numbers like this, but when I did, the line was silent. I ***g up.
Have been calling here for the past few days. Picked up yes****ay and they asked for my husnamd = who recently passed away. I ***g up. Today they said they were calling from the VISA credit card company. When I pushed him for more specific information (ie which bank) he ***g up. Does not speak English well at all.....
rec'd a call today from 905 345-6789 man said he was calling from Visa, I told him I was not interested and to remove my number from their calling list. The guy then got very verbal telling me he would continue to call me whenever he wanted calling me a F**** Bit** I told him I had his number on call display he told me he had my address. He would not prove it and continued to call me ****** names. Once I handed the phone to my ***hr and he heard a male voice he ***g up. MAN WISH I COULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE PHONE......
Same thing. The phone rings three times and I never answer. It's extremely annoying to run in from the garden to find this number on caller ID. It even rings on weekends. After reading some of the other comments, perhaps one of those people who actually answered the phone should e-mail phone busters or so****ing. Sounds like a credit card scam for sure and some fraud squad somewhere should take an interest. I went online but got no results but if CF found out that is based in St. Catharines-Thorold, On, it's within OPP jurisdiction. I would guess the scammers have a pre-recorded message saying "the number is disconnected" as opposed to the phone company message.
Caller with extremely thick accent asked for spouse by name. When I said spouse wasn't home, caller asked when spouse would return. Got su****ious and gave a ***ue reply. Caller sounded dissapointed, said he'd call back and ***g up without identifying himself at all. Checked number that came up on call display, no name. I went online and tried a reverse look up. Got this result: "This number is a landline based in St. Catharines-Thorold, On, ON and is unpublished."
Called here today saying that this was a verification call for Visa. When Iasked what Visa card he was talking about; he said CIBC or RBC. I told hime that I don't have either. Then he said Scotia Bank. I told hime that I had noidea who he was and that I wasn't going to answer any questions. I ***g up.When I called the number on caller ID, I got a recording saying that thenumber was disconnected.
My daughter received a call today from this number. After finding out I was not home (he asked for me by name), he pressed her for exactly what time I would be home, and when she answered, he wanted to know if she was sure that was the "exact" time. He then asked how old she was, she responded with "why" and he repeated "how old are you?", she then asked who was calling and he replied "Visa card company" and asked if she was under 18. - Creepy! The number was out of service when it was called back. We also have made a police report. The caller ID below is what showed up where the name usually is.
I received a call from some guy and i only ubderstood mc or visa and when i demanded that he remove my name and number from their calling list he asked me if i wanted to f**k him. I called the police and they are tracking the call
Called today and no one there.Called back and got a recorded message that the number was disconnected or not in service

Pretty much the same story as Anna, though as with Laura, the guy with the bizarre accent said he was from TD. Unfortunately, we actually do have a credit card at TD, so he got a bit further with me--enough for me to confirm that he had our address. I kept pushing him on his claim that his system at TD couldn't see my account transactions when I could see them online. He eventually got ****ed off and ***g up; I called TD and told them the story, and now have a new credit card winging my way.
Received a call from them today and could not understand what the person was talking about. It was the most bizarre accent I ever heard. I told them I could not understand what they were saying except for the "credit card" part. He said he would transfer me, but I just ***g up.
BU***HIT TELEMARKETER
They call here everyday......... It rings 2 or 3 times...no more. I never answered. How do we get them to stop???? It is annoying.More than that: How are they ALLOWED to scam people like that without being arrested??
They keep calling trying to have me confirm my name and address, I won't, and what they have on file is thankfully out of date. Same thing as everyone else, says they are from visa and I have won a trip to Florida. Today got the same call however they didn't identify themselves. when I asked who was calling they said "Your boyfriend" I quickily ***g up and used my VOIP to block them... creepy.
Received the same call. It smelled fishy so I played dumb and answered with broad unuseful answers. They eventually got frustrated with me and ***g up.
Continuously calls here everyday. Says we won a vacation to Orlando through our visa card. When my husband asked where our visa was through they told him TD (which was incorrect). When asked not to call a***n they ***g up. You can hear lots of people talking in the back round.
