Leave a CommentCall once or twice a day.Dead air on other side.I live in B.C. and I understand the calls originate from Ontario.
Bell has been fined several million dollars for using the Do No Call List. Interesting that they are the company in Ca***a that manages it.
DO not give these people any of your personal information. THAT is what they're after -- credit card numbers, etc. It's a phishing scam . They want enough info about you so they can impersonate you and steal from you.
This person who could barely speak english said he was "Tom Wilson" from A-1 Cellular. I said you sound like an immigrant, are you sure that is your name? He said yes Tom Wilson. I asked him to spell it. He says T-o-m-m W-y-l-s-a-n. Ok.
Just got a call from this number, said in very very bad English - "your number has been chosen as a winner of a TV' - I interrupted and said I am on the do not call list - and he ***g up on *****e do not call list is a joke, I am getting more calls now than when I wasn't on it - then found out the government gives it out to these companies to tell them not to call, but if they are companies out of the country - the laws don't apply to them so guess what? They get a free list of numbers.
Call at least once a day. Dead air, Very annoying.
They call several times a day and no one is there. It creeps me out.
I just had another call from these *****s. I didn't answer it and they didn't lease a message. I have been****ured by Bell that w***ver is calling from this number is NOT****ociated in any legal way with Bell or Solo Mobility and that it is a ripoff scam.
On December 3, 2010 at 10:29 A.M. M.S.T., I got a call from this number. An oriental-sounding man named David said he was with Global Mobility and I could have a free cell phone. He said my number was shortlisted for the Christmas promotion. I told him I wasn't interested in his promotional offer. I could still hear him blatting away as I ***g up the phone. I've had a call from this number on November 27 at 11:38 A.M. but I let the answering service get it. No message was left.
I get calls from this number and others from foreigners that claim to represent both Bell Mobility and Solo Mobility (it's the same company) I am on the Ca***a Do No Call list AND the US Do Not Call list and I have contacted Bell in the past to complain. I have been****ured bu both Bell and Solo Mobility that I am on their internal Do Not Call lists but the **** just goes on. I've had two calls this week already, and ***g up on both callers.
Some dude with a very foreign accent called tonight and said they were****ociated with Bell Mobility, and proceeded to try and sell me a new cell phone. The pitch line was I could get a free phone with all the features. I told him I already had one. He continued to explain the features. I told him I already had those features on my phone. He then said I could get it for my special someone for Christmas. I told him that I would then have to take another rate plan, to which he agreed, but then said it would only be $30/month. I then told him I was out of work, and he still said it was only $30 a month. I told him a***n that I didn't have a job and then told him that if he was willing to pay for it for me until I got a job, I might be interested. Then I ***g up. If I want to buy a cell phone, I'll go to a store where I can see the various phones, the features, and discuss the rate plans. I won't buy it point blank over the phone even if I did have a job!
