Stan I received a call with a recorded message stating that a Wells Fargo Visa Card account had been compromised. I was instructed to "Press 1 to reach our security department." I did nothing and the call ended. I don't even have a card from Wells, so it was obviously spam.

Use caller ID and don't pick up, if you don't recognize the number.... and definitely don't call back!!! Be smart people!!!

Don't call back. That is just reaffirming that somebody exists at the phone number. They will ramp up their harassment. Also, sometimes the alternate phone numbers are used in lots. This makes it possible for them to get a good idea of who is calling back. This gives away any alternate phone numbers you have. They are Blaster, not Master. But Blaster has diarrhea.

they are calling from india, not US, they use magic jack to disguise real number, tell them 'maderchod" which is indian cuss word, they will know u are on to them and hang up

I received these calls and also am getting calls from eastern Indian men saying they are officers with the department of law and order. Anyone else getting these? Its not this same number everyone is talking about but its the same line.

I havw been getting harassing calls claiming I owe money from a payday loan and if I don't call Officer Taylor this is an internnational problem and I will be in big trouble. They are now calling my best friend and telling her she needs make me call them back.

A person with a very strong accent has been calling my work 3 times a day and my personal cell numerous times a day threating to have me arrested and thrown in jail for an outstanding payday loan which I never received. I have spoken to a lawyer to find out how to file charges but they can never leave a contact name or number.

hey I have just started getting the same calls from the same place(s) and when they call me he says his name is officer willson garnet. he has all my info bank account,name,socail, date of birth everything. Today I received a phone call from a Steve Martin from 914-595-7531 My caller ID showed 666-608-6486. He indcated I took out a payday loan on 12/10/10 from Cash Advance America. I have not taken out any payday loans. He tried to verify my address, which was not my current address. I did not give him any information and informed him that all the information he had was incorrect and I was not giving him any. I told hm I knew this was a scam and to stop calling me. He insisted there were 10 outstanding complaints from this company and that he was not a scammer. I've received lots of calls from different people insisting I have paydayloans from Cash Advance America and I do not. I finally just hung up on him.

I just received 3 calls (minutes apart) to my phone saying the same exact thing!! He left 3 different messages. The connection was VERY bad with alot of static. His voice came in and out but i was able to hear enough of the message to know that it's the same call everyone else is getting. I believe this man -due to his heavy accent and bad connection is calling form overseas. BEWARE!! My number is a track phone and I just registered it. If you have a track phone I think they might be selling your numbers or something. NO ONE has my number yet, very fishy.

I received a call several times from this number. The last time the man said he had my SS# and my drivers license number and I would be in big trouble if I did not pay them....reported them to my attorney generals office...

Anonomas I got a call from 914-595-5522 on 1-17-11. he said he was officer Garren or Darren Gadder or Dadder from the Dept of Financial Investigation. I called him back and tried to find out what this was in relation too but was told he could not tell me. So I told him that I had to research the information he gave me but when I called him back and told him that I knew this was a scam he became very hostile. He threatened to put me in jail today and hung up the phone. But when I tried to call him back he said he never spoke to me. I have given this information to the authorities.  This is a Scam. I have looked up the law and you can not go to jail for not paying a debt and a debt collector can not threaten to put you there.

These people are scams they use 0000, 914, 850, and 646 area codes. They are after your money. Report them. Report them. I had one of them try to get a payday loan under my name one day. Do not confirm anything they ask you. They are getting approval to steal from you. They don't have enough to connect the dots. By you confirming what they ask you are assuring that they have the correct information.  Lets join forces and deny them access.

I got a call from 914 595 7531 on January 3, 2010. They left a voice mail regarding a past payday loan, i just checked it out with my wife cause i didn't remember of it and we realized that we had actually missed the payment so i just called back the collections people and they were of great help, they helped me with a payment plan to get my account back on track.

These people used to leave a lot of threatening voice mails on my phone, but when i called them back i came to know that it was indeed in reference to a past due pay day loan which i had actually forgotten to pay back, they helped me rearrange the payment and also provided me with a paid in full receipt.

This company has my husband and I several times claiming that we have an outstanding payday loan and that the company is filing legal charges against us.  The guy claims that his name is Kingston James and when we tried to call the number back, we keep getting a recording saying that the number or code is incorrect.  I have never had a payday loan and I will be consulting an attorney about this matter.

This company has called me numerous times from this number. When I have a voicemail from them they say they are from the Credit Collections Bureau, however, when they call and we answer they say they are from PayDay Collections Bureau. They have my social and claim they have my bank account number. When you ask them for their address and for a certified letter in the mail they say they can not do that. I have taken the time out to call the Credit Collections Bureau to find out if either Daniel Fernandez or Derrick Jackson work for them but they do not. I spoke to the Legal Advisor in the Credit Collections Bureau and he told me to talk to a lawyer. I am making that appointment now! All I have gathered so far is this is a scam!

i have gotten the same calls, the gentlman that called me told me he was with the FBI. i have made a complaint to the FBI in Texarkana,TX. try your local law enforcement and move up from there.

They just called my job Jason Anderson or Jeff Admas and threatened me with the FBI coming ot take me away. They said to call Cash Advance Mutual at 323-205-2863 and guess what Jason answered.

These people call from an out of country number   524 801 90   and 052 4801 89  and ask to return the call to 914 595 7417 -- I changed my cell phone, blocked calls from my home phone but home phone cannot block international calls.  They also call my work and threaten me with lawsuit, etc.  How do I deal with this?

After they called my boss and told him they were going to put him in a bunch of "legal" action.  That was the last straw!!  I called them as soon as I left work and started telling them what I thought.....they hung up on me....I called right back and said listen you r-head mfers!!!! No they are not... The same thing is happening to my husband exactley.. Do not pay a thing. We went to the police dept and there sending the report to Secret Service.  We had to contact are Attorney and also are Attorney Gerneral in are State and the Department of Banking for the protection Affairs... This guy Dennis Peterson is the one harrassing him calling every day and his job saying the phone calls will not stop. It's not even his SS #  there saying. It's are loan and says he doesn't agreeand there filing charges..   He is a fraud!!!!!!!!!

I also received a call from this number, from Dennis, stating that did I have a pencil to take down the number of the lawsuit that was being filed against my SS# and that if I did not have my attorney call him back I would be prosecuted for internet fraud, and be put behind bars.  He call my work 4 or 5 times, called my cell phone at least 10 times (however I did not answer those), but these guys are big time frauds. They have no jurisdiction to do anything to you, however I did contact my local police department and sent a complaint to the Attorney General in New York and to the FTC. Do not let this guy, or persons get the best of you,  as again they have no power to do anything, they are just big time scam artists.  After I asked him for the name of his company, their address and fax number he hung up on me, so try that and see if that gets them to stop. These people need to go back where they came from.

A female with a heavy accent called today at work for one of my co-workers.  The last two days a male with a heavy accent has called at work for this same co-worker.  Today the woman's name was Sandra Williams.......with a heavy accent.  They are very rude and pushy people.

This company has called my job an friends as well saying i owe payday loans to i have had payday loans in the past but all were pay an i have documentations that i pay them.I dont know these people are but are very unprofessional would not let me speak an hung up on me.I have my bank statements an every paper work proving i dont owe these people anything who should i contact to get these people off my back or should i get an attorny an sue them.

They are still at it with me, calling my neighbors and threatening them, also have called and left 5 dirty, nasty sexual messages on my voice mail 3 yesterday and 2 this morning already!!  I have filed a complaint with the FTC and just spoke with Homeland Security and they transfered me to Secret Service in WA DC.  They are transferring the info to my home state.  These guys are SICK SICK!!

These guys called me today.  Funny things is, the exact same guy that called me today (Patrick) called threatening me about a month ago and his name was Matthew.  When he tried a month ago, he said he was sending attorneys and police to pick me up at work unless I just paid off the payday loan over the phone, so I told him he could go ahead and send the police to pick me up and he hung up on me. Hes back at it...except this time he called my mom right after me. Let it begin. My mom has been warned about him. I have turned him into the attorney general and they are investigating.

This company called my mother -laws phone saying they have message for me ,Kenneth M the guys name was Mike Atkinson.. they were Indian decent , when asked what it was about they said they were discussing my situation in the office with  the manager. and they were filing charges ,and when asked what the problem was about they hung up, My father in law called back they said they didn't have to discuss anything with him.. we said they sure do they called us. when we were demanding to know , they hung up.Called again to speak to a manager, they said oh you need to speak to mike.company that  called was  Affidavit Processing Dept.

This same Don Parker from National Affidavit Processing Dept called my work today and told my boss that if I did not contact them that there would be legal action against my SS#.  I called this number and talked to "Don" and "Dennis"  I do have a payday loan out but have been in contact with the company to work out arrangements as having financial issues right now.  They emailed me a promise to pay which is so totally "unprofessional" that I had to laugh.  They say they are in New York but I could hardly understand a word they were saying.!  Can anyone tell me if they are legit or not?   Thanks
