Sacramento animal services called me back using this number....it's just a generic outgoing city number.

City of Sac showed up on my called ID, no message was left. I have been waiting for Code Enforcement Dept to return my calls. If this person has time to dial my number, they should have time to leave a message.

BF is exactly right.  It is just a generic City of Sacramento number.  My call was from Haggin Oaks Golf Course.

I received a call from 916-551-1317 and they left a message, it was the police department. I had filed a traffic claim and the investigating officers was calling me back. As mentioned above, this is a generic sacramento county outgoing phone number. If they leave a message it will be a totally different incoming phone number they will leave for you to call back. This is not a prank. Answer the phone if they call.

This is a generic number that is related to any number of city of sacramento departments. Could be an agency, or the sacramento zoo, or fairytale town

Our business is constantly disrupted by repeated phone calls from this number.  Typically they s**** after 5pm and run every several minutes over the period of an hour or two - it's hard to have a Happy Hour when staff are constantly picking up the phone only to get a loud "BEEP!" blasted in their ear.  Not only does it affect customer service, it is a nuissance to customers and staff alike and it costs us time, hence money.  This is a real problem.  It has gone on now for a good month and it has to stop.  I would appreciate any information as to how to block this number permanently.-Streets Manager

It is a GENERIC outgoing City of Sacramento phone number -- In my case, it comes through my caller ID as Sacramento Marina, but my calls all come from the Water Utilities Department when I am "on call" for storm situations.

They called me at 1:15am. I don't care who it is, they need to have the decency to call during waking hours. And no, they did not leave a message.

It is the City of Sacramento main PRI number that tons of calls originate from... you cannot call a PRI back, as it is a trunk of tons of other lines all put together.  This is not a pay phone, scam or prank, it is someone from the City calling you.

They call me all day and no1 is there...when I call back, the number cannot be reached....don't take it serious

My mother received a call today from (916) 551-1317 and the caller ID identified it as Sacramento City. When I did a search of all the City of Sacramento phone numbers it did not show up. What did show up was this website. So if this is a number you can't call back - who is calling? Is this a prank call?

I received a call from this number. They identified themselves as being from the Sacramento Police Dept. They asked me about being a witness to an accident. I was at the scene, but did not witness the accident and left it at that. I think the Heather Fargo comment is probably correct.

called. and call transfered to my cell. during transfer i hear a background voice.. of multi-boys and one girl.. the guys was asking girl, if shes interested in free movie tickets.. then i hear caller saying i dont know his name or anything... and ****-up... BUT I THINK ITS SCAM.. Using public pay phone from a gov. location.

I rec'd a call from the number and you can't call it back but it is a generic number from the City of Sacramento. In my case it was coming from someone inside the building department.

It's a generic number from the City of Sacramento, but you can't call it back.  We use it so we can get through your Caller ID, but we don't want you to call us back on it, because we don't want to talk to you or anybody else.

Looked it up after I got called and they ***g up without leaving a message.  According to the Yellow Pages on-line, it is the Sacramento Marina.  However, I have absolutely NO ifea why anyone at the Sacramento Marina would be calling me, nor why thye would not leave a message.
