Called my cell at 7:15 in the morning, left a message with my business name stating I needed to call their office back. The FTB would never call my cell phone without sending a letter first, especially before business hours, and the call back number is not listed as legit with the FTB website of valid numbers either. Scam.

I received a call today saying she’s calling from ftb saying I owe 2 years of taxes and penalty . I called my hubby about this call he said it is a scam.. My hubby said Ftb will never call or email . They will send a mail and few warnings then take your money from bank if you owed any taxes. I was scared an terrified I called my accountant and hubby immediately!!!

Tax Board called it’s a lie, this was a woman she called me joe, my name is Not. Just listen, don’t give any info. Any your personal info. Not even your name, you should ask them Questions. 916-845-1318

Received call from 916-845-3118. Message said calling from Franchise Tax board to call back. When called received no answer.

I called Franchise Tax. Recording came on saying someone would call me back and stated the number I was calling from was 916 845 3118. If not enter the correct number.

This caller claims to be from the CA Franchise Tax Board but the return number is not toll free, which means it's not the tax board. It's a 100% scam do not respond! The State Franchise Tax board will NEVER contact you via phone or email.

CA Frachise Tax Board - person sounded desperate and wanted to contact me on urgent matters. The callers are spammers and trying to phish information. They want your personal information. CA Franchise Tax Board only contacts you through mail since it is certified and post marked. Avoid this call.

It is the California Franchise Tax Board.  They called my cell and left a message for someone I've never heard of; "Emanual Ebear".  The message includes an instruction to call regarding "an urgent tax matter".

If you get a call from 916-845-3118. You Likely owe CA some back tax money. As you know the state is broke and needs to collect as much as they can to continue to support the overflow of white trash welfare ****ers and illegals scooping up benefits.

Got a call on cell phone from this number 916-845-3118.  No message left.  I can't imagine how FTB would know my cell number as I rarely give it out and this is relatively new fone and carrier.

Got a call from this number. Man's voice. Rude. Would not identify himself. Only said that he wanted some personal information from us by fax by a certain date, and said all we needed to put on the fax was 'Long', and that he would get it. Fax # is 916-843-0525. Can anyone tell me who this is? We know that he called from a California FTB number, but we don't know who this man is, or his authority to ask for this information.

Missed Call left on my cell phone.  I heard that telemarketers are s****ing to call cell phones as of July 1, 2009...........916-845-3118 was the number on my ID and I don't know what this is.
