This number was a call from NC Dept of Revenue re taxes

My husband received a call from this number on his cell phone, and when he tried to call it back the number was no longer in service. I added his cell phone number along with all the cell number in our house to the "DO NOT CALL" list a few months back.....how do they get our numbers and what can we do?

I got a call from 919-754-2999. They said so****ing about a c****e in my business and needed tax info to my daughter and to call back and ask for agent 21638. I did a check on this number. It belongs to Robert Roy Hockin 42 Lenoir, NC. Born March 25, 1966 Mother is Brenda Maureen Kerr. ***her Willard Bird Hockin. The phone is on West Ave in Lenoir. You can have any area code with digital service. He is not in Raleigh. This guy needs to be arrested. It is probably an FCC matter along with impersonation and fraud.
