Leave a CommentI got a call from them today telling me I had won a vacation from filling out a form at the Tulsa State Fair, which I did. I remember it was a creepy guy getting people to sign up. I'm not even sure why I signed up.Anyways, I got the call from 954-604-6189. I listened to the girl, named "Melva Fields" (even gave me an "agent ID number") for 10 minutes about what I had "won." It was the exact same thing as Kristine above, verbatim...7 day vacation package for 4 people to Universal Studios and Daytona Beach. All they say you have to pay is $498 for taxes. When she's finished, she transfers me to the "booking agent" who will take my information for future booking reference. This is "required" because I have 18 months to use it and they need it as a reference. It is at this point they say they need a credit card number. I say I don't intend to pay any taxes unless and until I go ahead and book my prize. He won't tell me if I will be charged immediately, just says they need it on record for reference. Here's the kicker, the absolute proof this is a scam. He tells me that they need the reference because I am one of only 40 nationwide who have won this package and they need to keep my information seperate and distinct to make sure w***ver I book with later knows I was a prize winner. At this point I **** up. I call my wife. She says she got the EXACT SAME CALL!!!! So of the ***dreds of thousands of people who registered at the Tulsa State Fair, and not only that, but nationwide, both my wife and I were chosen out of 40 nationwide to win this prize!!!Give me a break. No family is that lucky. I'm sure they would have enjoyed my $498. Glad I got to keep it myself.Lets remember folks, even if you sign up for a prize, so****ings are just too good to be true. Real prize winners don't need to pay up front to redeem their "prizes."
y i also got this call its a scam do not go for it. any place that asks for credit card info is a scam please do not give them your info. ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for you but I took the offer and had a great time speak for yourself.

I received a call from this number last week. They only called once and when I answered the gentlemen introduced himself as Mario with some consumer report survey company I signed up to do surveys online for. He told me that I won a $1000 gift certificate that would be good to spend anywhere online. He also said they were sending 6 free issues of some random ma***zines and a list of 200 other magazines. The only information he asked me for was my age and status. I asked him what the catch was and he told me the only catch is that i read and enjoy the magazines and fill out the survey they'll be sending along with the magazines. I figured it was a scam, but if it is I can't understand what they would be scamming me for. They asked for no relavent information that they could use to f*** me with. So I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. See if this $1000 gift certificate comes or not. I will keep you updated on what the outcome of this call is. But I'm not nervous about being scammed at all.
I actually recieved a call to ,but i registered.i was nervous.I recieved a package via mail and traveled to Orlando and Daytona.Me and three of my friends went and we had a blast. To my suprise it was everything they said it was.I still have a cruise that i can use.
They are fraudulent! Do not give them any of your information! This is a scam! I had to learn the hard way! Which really ****s.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100716131947AAyXu2G
So this is a scam, right?1. They aren't registered with the Florida Better Business Bureau at all. In fact, the only "Family Fun Travel" that comes up on the BBB when sear****g the entire country is in Alabama: http://www.bbb.org/edmonton/business-reviews/ ... -park-ab-152279The company in Alabama, which may or may not be the same as the one that claims to be in Florida, is also not BBB-accredited. Bad sign. *Update: looks like the Alabama-based company has a website too: http://www.familyfuntravel.com/Looks shady. 3-day 2-night vacations for $15CA? Hmm...2. Their touted website (familyfuntravel.org), which they are happy to direct you to over the phone as proof of their validity, was registered just this past May 10th: http://domain-daily.com/new/2010-05-11/64.htmlIt also looks like it was cobbled together by a 5th grader, not a professional graphic designer for a company well-off enough to give out $3000 dollar vacations. 3. When I took him to task over the phone, their representative claimed that, while they were not registered with the BBB, they were registered with the "CLIA," the California Lodging Industry****ociation. (http://www.clia.com/) They are not. Also, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN FLORIDA. Why would they be registered with a California-only lodging****ociation? 4. Oh, look: I found a "Family Fun Travel LLC" in Florida: http://www.lookupbook.com/directory/travel-an ... -fun-travel-llcBut ****, they have an unlisted number. Which is totally normal for legitimate, established travel agencies, right? All signs point to scam.Sorry for anybody that had to learn it the hard way.
Romanian scam artists at it a***n.
LOL at all of you. I got a call from this number and it is the travel coordinator from family fun travel. I won a trip to Orlando Florida.
I have the same offer. What did you do? Scam?
I am on the phone with this number right now. they claim that i have won a 7 day vacation package for 4 people to Universal Studios and Daytona Beach and that I have to pay $498 up front right now to reserve my spot. it's tempting, but i'm very skeptical. I've been looking up stuff online about them to figure out if it's a scam or not...i wish it weren't, but it seems too good to be true...
This is actually a travel agency in Florida. I sent them an email asking them to stop calling me. This is their email address: '[email protected]'
Everyday 3 times a day or more they r calling. I'm in ontario too. It just s****ed this week. Same as everyone else, I don't answer nor do they leave a message. Last time I had a persistant call like this it was CDMA trying to give m a credit card. I'm on the do not call list but apparently this does not stop these people. Ridiculous!! I just wish I knew who this was....? And how they get my unlisted cell info. Ridiculous!!
I just got a call from this number... also didn't answer, nor did they leave a voice mail - but it's a Florida area code...954 FL: Broward County area, incl Ft. Lauderdale (part of what used to be 305, see overlay 754) Seeing as I don't know anyone done there (I'm in Ontario Ca***a) I'm not going to bother with this....
yeah i got a call from it today to... i was working so i didnt answer it.. i texted it back.. its a land line number
I've just s****ed getting the phone calls a couple weeks ago and they call every now and then, no VMail or anything left
I have just s****ing receiving multiple calls today from this number. They never leave a voice mail so I don't call back or answer.
This number is s****ing to call every day. does anyone know who it is? I have never answered it as it is long distance and I usually don't answer those.
