Daniel I got a call from them today telling me I had won a vacation from filling out a form at the Tulsa State Fair, which I did. I remember it was a creepy guy getting people to sign up. I'm not even sure why I signed up.Anyways, I got the call from 954-604-6189. I listened to the girl, named "Melva Fields" (even gave me an "agent ID number") for 10 minutes about what I had "won." It was the exact same thing as Kristine above, verbatim...7 day vacation package for 4 people to Universal Studios and Daytona Beach. All they say you have to pay is $498 for taxes. When she's finished, she transfers me to the "booking agent" who will take my information for future booking reference. This is "required" because I have 18 months to use it and they need it as a reference. It is at this point they say they need a credit card number. I say I don't intend to pay any taxes unless and until I go ahead and book my prize. He won't tell me if I will be charged immediately, just says they need it on record for reference. Here's the kicker, the absolute proof this is a scam. He tells me that they need the reference because I am one of only 40 nationwide who have won this package and they need to keep my information seperate and distinct to make sure w***ver I book with later knows I was a prize winner. At this point I **** up. I call my wife. She says she got the EXACT SAME CALL!!!! So of the ***dreds of thousands of people who registered at the Tulsa State Fair, and not only that, but nationwide, both my wife and I were chosen out of 40 nationwide to win this prize!!!Give me a break. No family is that lucky. I'm sure they would have enjoyed my $498. Glad I got to keep it myself.Lets remember folks, even if you sign up for a prize, so****ings are just too good to be true. Real prize winners don't need to pay up front to redeem their "prizes."
