Have been receiving multiple calls per day for past several days from this number.  They never leave a message.  It's even worse if this is related to DEX phone books, as I have specified do NOT deliver phone books but they did anyway last week, leaving a plastic bag full of "dead tree" products (AND a flyer on my door acknowledging that I had opted out of phone books and to contact them if I wanted one!!  what nerve!)

Heads Up Folks this blocked caller name outfit is a ****** telemarker calling about if you got your new DEX telephone directory and does and endless survey so I ***g up on them. I too am on the DO NOT CALL List & I have an unpublished and unlisted telephone number. Your turn to be bothered by DEX is on the way to you too.

Number showed up tonight on caller ID, name shown was shown as "CERTIFIED AUDIT".  They left no message.

Thanks for all the info in the thread...I never answered the numerous calls from CERTIFIED AUDIT, but I imagine from what I read here that they were trying to verify I got my phone book.....the one I indicated I did not want a copy of...I hate ****ing trees for phone books, especially since any info you want no***ays can be found through the internet...and yes, I did get the **** phone book....didn't want it, but I got it

Some source listed as "CAC" with the number (973)785-3000 has appeared several times in my caller ID as they have attempted to contact me (apparently) - but have never left a message.  I searched and found this number is a land line with Verison service out of Little Falls, NJ.  I am registered on the Federal Do Not Call Registry and do not appreciate these sorts of breaches.  I understand that charities and politically affiliated groups are exempt from the Do Not Call Law - but I resent that imposition as I believe each individual, free, sovereign citizen should be able to control their own domain when it relates to the invasion of their private homes - which phone and computer communications are more and more an integral part.  I further resent organizations or persons such as "CAC" contacting me without leaving a sensible, courteous message.  As soon as our non-representative government officials actually implement penalties for ALL offenders -  penalties that include a significant res***ution payment that will be provided to the victims such as myself and other properly registered parties on the Do Not Call Registry - these invasive practices will not stop.

I am registered on the do not call list and this number was on my caller ID. Have no clue who this is.

When I picked up the phone I was greeting with heavy breathing.  So, I ***g up.

Caller ID reads "CAC" and the telephone number 973-785-3000. I found a listing for the company by doing an online search. However, I just suggest not answering phone calls from numbers you don't recognize. Better to avoid the call entirely than get mixed up with so****ing. Good luck to everyone.

The message left on my answering ma****g was "and that comcludes our survey". I doubt if it is a debt collector. Surveys and charities should also be on the no-call list. Very annoying when you get so many calls.

I got a call from CAC (that was on my caller ID) 12/17/09 at 5:04 p.m., they left no message (no guts!).  Can anyone tell me the purpose of the "DO NOT CALL LIST"???  Is it just for stores or people?  I want it to work for these political garbage calls that come before and during elections and political scare tactics such as what is going on now in the media.I have young children that answer the phone and I do not want them giving out any info. and I do NOT want to be bothered with these junk calls, that is why I have the caller ID in the first place!!Can't ANYONE get these pests to STOP their calling!!!

This party called my number and would not leave message at voicemail prompt. I am on a no call list so this is worthy of a complaint and it is a an annoyance phone call.

973-785-3000 called on 5/23/09 at 5:46 but did not leave message. Don't know if it is a Debt Collector because they didn't leave a msg. I am also on the do not call list

It's a debt collector. Called looking for someone else. I told them to remove me from their call list. Time will tell.

973-785-3000 is a call out of New Jersey- DEX YELLOW PAGES.  A computer gernerated voice verifying you have received your copy and have enough copies.

5 rings and ****up. No message.

This New Jersey call came at 18:23 hours on 2-20-08 to our home in Kansas. We did not answer and no message was left. Other posters advise this is Certified Audit of Circulations at Wayne, N.J. 07470, a magazine surveyer and business marketer. Junk it.
