Left a message that it was call from Cambece Law Office and left 866 number

got a call from this number from some lady asking for some guy i've never heard of. then stated my address and asked if that was correct. she said that she had been sending letters and i told her that i hadn't received any letters. she s****ed getting ****y, so i told her not to call back anymore. she was yelling about so****ing else when i ***g up. that was about 8:30 in the morning. got another call about 10:50 am. the phone rang twice and by the time i picked up there was a dial tone. very strange and annoying.

I received a call in the evening asking for a gentleman named Mike.  When I said that I didn't know who it was they asked if I knew him to which I replied "no."

a woman by the nmae of Stephanie Evans called my house at 8:24 in the morning.on 5/21/2008( Wednesday morning) I did not answer the phone.Voice mail was left. She left me a phony number of 866-203-9099.

Very persistent and rude, reported to do not call, who else do we report them too?

what i need to know is this....why is everyone complaining about bills they owe...i mean s**t if you dont want debt collectors to call you pay your god dam bills......that is whats wrong with this country

Definitely a collection agency w/law firm attachment.  I owe from an old credit card.  I said no problem - yes I owe - I will pay.  But they were **** and wanted it now.  Dudes!  If I had it all now, wouldn't I pay it?  Oh please.

They keep c****ing their number.JA Cambece Law Office but in reality they are debt collection.I do the same for all the collection agencies I keep a journal of cals and then turn it over to law enforcement and will let them deal with it.I also keep a tape of any converstions or threats that they make,that too is turned over to law enforecement and perhaps will turn it over to phone Company as well

Called at 6:30 in the morning, no talking at all, just annoying to run down stairs when I had just run up to c****e for work.  Now that I know about them, I'll warn my in home day care provider to refuse whatever they ask!(5/01/08)

This number just called me on 4/28/08 and my phone is register with the Do Not Call List. I didn't pick up. I checked on line and found this site. Next time they call I will pick up and threat the mess out of them b/c my cell number is unlisted and on the Do Not Call list.

Not sure just what their scam is. Claim to have gotten our number from the phone company as the closest phone to this supposed neighbor whose phone had been disconnected.( I really doubt that the phone company would have done that) Would we put a note on their door? We refused. Hopefully they dont call back!

They call and ask if I would put a note on my neighbor's door. When I stated "no", they said that they know my address, etc. I ***g up. The number is from a law office, J A Cambesi(?) in Peabody, MA.; however, it is an unpublished number, which is strange for a law office. When I spoke with the receptionist, this apparently is their MO, as it seems they are trying to collect debts from individuals. This law office is a sleezy bunch of slime. I am going to file a complaint with the do not call registry and with the state  of MA. I urge everyone to do the same!

calling claiming to be a lawyer wanted my social sercurity number when I refused they called back - were very pushy and rude

These people s****ed calling my cell phone about 4 weeks ago (early February 2008).  I have had my cell number for about 6 years and have only given it to family/friends, not even to co-workers and NEVER for business.  Also, I moved into another state two years ago and took my cell number with me, so I have no idea why these people suddenly stared calling.(My credit is excellent.) Maybe they random dial.Anyway, they sometimes block their incoming number and always leave a text message which reads: 8662154959.  Hope this helps someone.

These f***ers are persistant as*****.  I have warned two other agents to stop calling me this is a business cell phone number you are calling.  They still wont quit.  Now I will sue them.

yeah they called me too and asked for my next door neighbor...? *** over? anyways i dont think imma let my neightbor know but maybe i should esp if they are handling collections and stuff

Received two calls from this number on two different days.  The first time I picked up the caller asked to speak to someone who doesn't live here and I promptly ***g up.  The caller ID say Cambece Law...they handle collections out of Boston.  Su****ious!!!!!
