to tell me that they found a suitcase of a friend of mine and had my number as a backup number in case he could not be contacted...the told me the name on the suitcase ...but dont or never heard of the person who the suitcase belongs to

One of our businesses received a call from this number, man named Mark, who was setting up an appointment to work on our phone service. He represented himself as being with AT&T. When I Googled the number I found he was really with MCIMetro out of Dumont, NJ. I contacted AT&T at the number on our phone bills and they****ured me there was no "work orders" scheduled for the account. I called the number 201-374-7251 and had to leave a voice message. Within 3 minutes a "Mark" from AT&T U-Verse called me back. I told him I knew he was not with AT&T and he was with MCIMetro and to stop contacting my business. DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET "SLAMMED" -- IT WILL ADD TO YOUR REGULAR PHONE BILL.

sm Very rude heavily accented caller demanding to know why they could not log on to my windows computer to install security updates. i kept asking how they got my number and it was always garbled. Said they had tried many times to access my computer but I wasn't letting them install very important security updates. I kept asking why are you calling me? I don't know you and never asked for your help. He replied, then just **** up the phone!! So I did. ****

Craigslist scammer

Mike J S****ed calling a couple times a week, no message, comes up as 'Out of Area' on caller ID. No calls 2-3 times a day, s****ing at about 8am our Alaska time. I've seen lots of similar complaints on other sites. Would love to either answer the phone and find out what these idiots want, or call them back and see how they answer the phone. But then either way they would know this is a valid number, and when we are home to answer the phone.

also calls my cell phone, does not leave a message.  I have not tried to call back because I don't have time for telemarketers or who ever that might be.

Have received several calls from this number over the past few days.  A reverse look up indicates that it belongs to a telemarketer named MCImetro ATS, Inc.  Further research indicates this is a front for some sort of scam which uses multiple phone numbers.  Recommend that the next time they call you use *57 trace the call and police can then use it in prosecution.  The service does cost a fee (unknown how much).  I have even reverse dialed the number to speak with someone and only got a static voice answering service which supposedly will let you get your number removed from their calling list...doesn't work.

This is a Debt Collector as well, I thought it was a***nst the law for debt collectors to call you on your job an harrass you about payment.  Do not answer, if your don't have an attorney seek one that is reasonable to try and settle this matter. If the debt collection company's don't want to work with you along with the company you owe next best thing is "BANKRUPTCY".  These credit card company don't care about your finacial situation, they just care about your money.

these people call me 10-15 times a day on my cell phone 7 days a week. they will not go away. they keep asking me for my social security number

4-6-09 Received calls to my cell phone at the following times: 8:06 am, 8:31 am, 9:08 am, 9:39 am, 10:11 am, 10:42 am, 11:14 am, 12:47 pm, 1:18 pm, 1:51 pm, 2:22 pm, 2:53 pm, 3:24 pm, 3:56 pm, 4:27 pm, 4:59 pm, 5:30 pm, 6:02 pm, 6:33 pm, 7:04 pm, 7:35 pm, 8:06 pm, and 11:33 pm. This is 24 calls in one day. I answered the call at 11:14 am and ***ody was there. On 4-7-09 received another call around 8:00 am. I called Verizon to put a 90 day block on this number. I have reported this number to the Federal Trade Commission on 4-19-09. The url is www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov. You have to register your phone number on the Do Not Call list to file the complaint. Also filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org. Calls approximately 5 times per day. Asked them to stop but completely ignore request and continually keep calling. only once was some one there.
