I received a voice mail on my home phone from a man with a heavy Indian accent, claiming to be an officer with the Federal Investigation Department. He identified himself as officer Eric Johnson. I was told that he was calling regarding a legal complaint that had been filed a***nst me and that I needed to call their "hotline" number (202.239.0595); he also said that if I failed to return the call, I would be the only person responsible for the legal consequences of this case file. At the end of the message, he said "God Bless You." It sounded like a scam to me, so I did some research online and there have been similar messages/ scams going on over the last few years, all using phone numbers in the Washington DC area that s**** with 202-239. I wanted to make sure that this number got reported as well for being a scam.
