Leave a CommentI just got that same call. Whats really going on
I received a call today from an officer of IRS named Mark Albert. He said I was subject for investigation by IRS. He also had a heavy accent and I couldn't understand a lot of what he was saying. I did understand my failure to call him back at this number 202 239-2258 will cause them to put a lien on me. I know IRS send letters not phone calls. I'm going to contact the Attorney General on this.
Total scam. Now my turn to mess with them. :) i've been calling them non stop, giving them a hard time. I called the local police department and let them know.
I just got a call from them...he kept saying the irs had charges a***nst me. I asked what for and he said for fraudulently withholding of income tax. He went on to say that I can be arrested, have my bank accounts frozen, and have my****ets taken. I then said look dude, I don't have income tax because I haven't worked in awhile... he said u don't work? I said no. He said well don't u pay taxes on our home, a***n I said no my name is not on my home. He got mad and ***g up on me!! I'm concerned because he knows my entire address to where I live! Should I be worried?

I got a call from 202-239-2258 and he said he was from the IRS. His accent was so thick that I couldnit understand him. He said he was from the "criminal division" of the IRS and had a "sworn affidavit" a***nst my name. When I asked to speak to someone who actually knew English, I was "transferred" to another foreigner who said they were going to call the Sheriff and have me arrested. I replied that was great, because I know the sheriff and would welcome a visit. They ***g up pretty quickly after that.
Got the same call from a fake IRS agent. When I laughed, he became very angry and said the Sheriff would be at my house in 1 hour to arrest me. He then ***g up.
I got a phone call from 202-239-2258 . He represented as an IRS officer and wanted me to go to Harris teeter and buy registered vulture in amount of $1180 . They said they will arrest me if I don't. This is an scam please do not believe.
I received a call for a man with a distinctly Indian accent (not being prejudiced) Actually have a friend who is from India, born and raised. He claimed to be calling for an agent of the IRS and verified my name with me and "transferred" me to the unnamed agent. I was put on hold for about three minutes, where I was treated to generic "hold" music. Then when the "agent" came on line I could immediately tell it was the same man. He must of thought I would figure all "foreigners' sound alike, not sure, but it was definitely the same man. There were even the same generic background "call center" sounds in the back ground. He then s****ed telling me that the IRS had made two attempts to contact me the first in November and then just last week. And due to MY failure to respond I was being sued by the IRS and then he asked if I had a paid lawyer to represent me. When I told him no, and tried to ask why I was being sued, he s****ed getting verbally angry with me and insisting that he was trying to inform me and that if I had a lawyer he would contact the lawyer or I could **** up and the local Sheriff would be at my door in 10 minutes to arrest me. To which I replied "What for?" I have done nothing wrong. This seemed to really anger him, because he s****ed repeating himself like a looped tape saying all the same stuff over and over. I finally asked exact HOW did the IRS try to contact me. He said they came to my door TWICE... now I don't know for a fact they came to my door. I do know he had my name, address, an old email address and obviously my UNLISTED house phone number, so am a little disturbed by that. I do know that the IRS does NOT s**** out contacting you by coming to your door. The guy even admitted that they never mailed anything to me. So when I told him that I knew that is not how the IRS operates he became more angry which made me kind of laugh. And oh, boy did he get upset... "WHY YOU LAUGH? THIS IMPORTANT! YOU GOT TO COURT AND PRISON!!!... To which I said (a***n) "What for?" and he looped on and on. He said he had just sent me an email to the updated email I gave him to show the do***entation but it has been over forty five minutes and still nothing. So finally I got tired of it, and told him that I knew from having to deal with IRS in the past on behalf of my then boyfriend that this was not how they operated, I was ****ing up now and calling the IRS immediately and told him nicely to have a pleasant day. And ***g up. No sheriff has showed up no one has called me back. Already contacted the IRS and let them know on their scam alert phone line. Don't fall for it. Just stand up to them and let them know you will **** up and contact the IRS yourself.
