Leave a CommentPLEASE IGNORE THESE PHONE CALLS! This is a scam. Lloyd(?) Davis from "Dept. of Legal Affairs" left "verbal notification" for my husband regarding an important legal matter that he needs to take care of before legal action is taken. BS. Legal matters are not handled over the phone. This is the second time we have received a scam phone call, last year "the firm" was trying to contact us to "resolve a legal matter before legal action would be taken." To avoid being served, we were to call back and****umedly pay to prevent legal action to be taken. They called repeatedly and said they had our address. We never called back (thanks to sites like this) and we were never served. It is really irritating that both times, we were told "God bless you." --May the scam artists rot in h*ll.

Diane, this is NOT the Department of Treasury. They are scammers. They have no conscience. Report them to the FBI, local police, FTC. And in the meantime, call them back relentlessly, and play along with their game....just DON'T give them any information, and for God sake, don't send them money from CVS, Home Depot, or anywhere else. They are bad people. Hopefully one day someone will shut them down and throw them in prison where they belong.

Phone version of phishing, very strong Indian accent said he was calling about written notice from the legal department of the US Treasury. I received another call similar to this from another number a couple of months ago and it was clear they were phishing but try and intimidate you first.
The man has a foreign accent and he stated that he need to speak with me about a legal issue that has to do with my social security number and that I need to call him at 2022395006.
Calling from the legal department of the US treasury.
