Same experience as Nari & Corey. They called earlier and my wife picked up. She luckily did not give any information away. Anyway, they called a***n and i took the call and asked "Jason" a lot of question, got his supervisors name - which sinisterly was "Smart Thompson". He gave me the phone number and extension for both of them. Imagine a big IRS office having simple extns ... He s****ed getting agitated when i went on and basically said that he wanted to speak to my lawyer. :). Anyway .. total scam!!

I believe they are running total scam. Caller claimed to be a criminal investigator, threatened me non bailable arrest warrant will be issued with 15 minutes if not taken their offer to negotiate with IRS. Caller gave his name as Jason Fletcher, had a eastern accent. When asked what is my fault, they offered all ****** reasons money laundering, tax eviction etc. Do not give them any information, try to obtain as much information from them as possible. Be cool listen all what they say take notes, If necessary report the call and details to local IRS office.

Calls from 202-239-7023, representing themselves as IRS Criminal Investigation Dept. So far, I have received 3 calls, 2 male voices and one Female voice with a*****ounced foreign [Eastern] accent in a call center type of setting. Agent Jason F, ID 101 I called back and left messages. Once I got a live person and second time got a call back after a while. Upon asking them their name and Badge#, I was threatened with charges like 1. Money Laundering 2. Tax Evasion 3. False Statements etc. Then they said I will be hearing about this soon and the phone was slammed.
