Leave a CommentI received a call this morning at 7.59 am saying I had a criminal investigation a***nst me. I questioned this right away as it sounded like a scammer who called several times last month saying I had computer problems. Then he ask if he had the right number and repeated name and phone number. I just ***g up as I had his number too. This happened this morning.
Got a call on my answering ma****e from "Officer" Michael Delgado of the IRS Crimes DIvision (202-239-7249). The message was that some serious criminal complaints have been made a***nst me and I need to call him back immediately before they proceed with criminal charges. Having had a few minor disagreements with the IRS, I know they contact in writing through the mail first. I was su****ious so I checked the phone number and found this forum and a couple Twitter posts about the IRS scam. I haven't decided if I will just **** it off or call him back and demand information in writing. I do find it intersting that the phone number was originally for a UPS scam listed in the first post.
My wife just received a call from this number and basically ***g up on this guy. He called back and insisted he talk to me. So with a smile on my face I said I would love to speak to him, which my wife relayed to the caller. He claimed to be "Officer" Ben Clayton with the IRS and informed me that there is a report of tax fraud a***nst me. I told him this was an obvious scam and that the IRS would not contact me via a phone call. I did speak to him for a few minutes asking him to repeat certain information and then finally ***g up.
I received a call today from this number- Obvious scam. I played along for a bit, and once he couldn't provide me with the county that the alleged lawsuit was filed a***nst me, I told him I was aware that this was a scam, and told him to go F* himself. He replied back with some ******ities, and we bantered for a good 15 seconds with obscenities. Childish, I know, but it felt good. We can put a man on the moon, or photograph your license plate from ****e, yet for some reason we can't find where these calls are coming from....
Michael Delgado tries a***n
It's a scammmmmmm
I got a call from this man claiming to be Michael Delgado from the IRS crimes division. I asked him for a verification and he said that he could get me arrested for 5 years. He said he can help me if I pay 1,ooo dollars I said I don't have that kind of money I would need to ask my brother to transfer it to me then he said I could at least pay half. It's obviously a scam. DON'T BELIEVE HIM HE'S A LIAR **** UP RIGHT AWAY!!!
This is a scam. And the actual scammer gets to post on a spam reporting site? His post should be removed. That guy is a ****.
Got a call from this number and a man with a very strong East Indian accent asked for my husband by his first name. Said he was Officer Ed McCoy with the IRS Crimes Division. I asked him for verification and a call back number, he said go check it out and call me back and then I'll tell you what's going on. Obviously it's a scam and I did not call him back. I did find this site, however - excellent info here, thank you!
CALLER CLAIMING TO BE OFFICER ED MCCOY. CALLED HIM BACK WITH UNKNOWN NUMBER JUST TO SEE IF ITS THE SAME IRS AND FBI SCAM THAT USUALLY COMES FROM THE SAME AREA CODES. SURE SOUNDED LIKE THE SAME GUY AS THE ONE CALLING FROM OTHER TWO 202 AREA CODE NUMBERS. PLS ALL OF YOU OUT THERE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS SCAM.
