This number calls me about once every 3 days. When you call back there's no automated system saying what the company is. Definitely a SCAM!! DO NOT ANSWER OR GIVE INFO.

Kely Got a call from this number, who said they were from Chase and were calling about my credit card interest rate being lowered because of our good payment history. I do have several cards through them, and we do have a very good payment history, so I wasn't immediately suspicious. The caller had an Indian accent (again, common for Chase) and it sounded like a very busy call center in the background. They were able to give me information about myself/accounts, so I didn't have trouble confirming the last 4 digits of my credit card and billing zip code. But...when they started talking about how they could lower interest rates on other cards, that didn't even have to be Chase credit cards, I immediately questioned him on how they would be doing that if they were really Chase. They evaded that question and got very pushy, insisting they could only give me a lower interest rate if I had at least $3000 in credit card balances and that I could use any other credit card - store accounts, other credit card companies, whatever, so long as it was credit and I gave them the information right then. At this point, I was kicking myself, because I KNOW BETTER DANGIT! (and being distracted with work stuff and whatever else I was thinking about isn't an excuse!) and hung up on them. I immediately called Chase, who confirmed that it wasn't them who had called; they don't make that sort of call. Within 5-10 minutes, the potentially compromised cards were deactivated, and new ones were being issued. They advised me to report it to the credit agencies (which I have done) and reviewed the previous charges on each account to guarantee they were made by us. I've also filed a police report (which I don't expect to go anywhere, but at least it's on record) for the attempted fraud. Chase handled their end of things AWESOMELY and even overnighted us the new credit cards with new numbers.

I don't answer any calls to my cell phone that I don't recognize. This number called me so I let it go to VM. No message. I see from another poster below it's one of those annoying "Lower your credit card interest" calls.

AD missed call from this number too. don't leave a message. I called back 3 times no answer so I decided to look this number up. I think its some type of scam call. When this number calls me back I will not answer. I might get my number changed if this number continues to call me.

Wrong Number! I got 2 calls from Performant Recovery (also known as Diversified Collection Services) today. I do not owe any taxes to any state or federal anything or for any student loan. I am in no mood for BS! If they are looking for someone they think I know...too bad...I know nothing. You know with all these privacy crap things you have to sign at your doctor, pharmacy (just about any company you do business with) they need to adhere to the privacy of the individual they are attempting to humiliate by calling family, friends, or employers and disclosing financial difficulty of that individual. There is a lot of people that are really having a hard time financially without a**es like this harassing and humiliating them multiple times a day~every day!

Performantce Technologies. I am guessing a debt collection agency...they won't give any information about themselves until they verify who you are. Pretty ironic.

Lana Tonas I called this number back and they stated it was some company called Performance Technology. I didn't get any more details than that and hung up the phone. I've never heard of this company before.

If you get calls from these people report them to your Attorney Generals' Office. If they are legit so be it...if not they need the law to investigate.

I tried to reason with her, and wanted to negociate with her but no luck she started screaming. So I said f^&*( my credit has improved I'm not paying for something that I did not do. I asked the lady her name and she said she could not tell me that info that she need to locate and or speak with Phyllis or Tyler right away.I explained, I do not know a Phyllis or Tyler, she then ask me my name and I said well if you called me then you should know my name it's listed with my phone number, she thanked me and hing up abruptly before I could interigate(?) her more and then give her a good tongue lashing.The numer that came up on my caller ID was 209-858-.3500.

So this agency will call your job looking for someone !!  I have told Kylie or whoever calls ( AS IF I DONT HAVE CALLER ID-IDIOTS!!) my direct line to !!STOP!! calling looking for this person.  In addition she will get rude as if I don't know who she is, asking to be connected to our HR department. (DUMMY-collector is stoopid enough to believe that HR wil give out that info.)  Due to the laws FDCA (Fair Dept Collection Act) states that if you answer the phone and tell them to "stop calling" they have to adhear to that. 209-858-3500.

littleone Vickie Sims used my former sister in laws name to get my brothers phone number from husband. Thinking it was my former sister in law, my husband had me look up the number, and while I was doing that, he filled her in on family vacations, etc. If that was not bad enough, she actually let him transfer her to me and then talked about MY kids and MY vacations as if we were best of friends. When I realized it was not who we thought it was, she laughed and laughed, while I freaked out!!! Talk about the "B" from hell.

Concerned Richmonder Female caller attempted to give the impression the call was of a personal nature and involved an established personal relationship between her and my neighbor about whom she attempted to secure information. I informed her that the call coming from a business which she failed to identify violated the do-not-call act and would be reported. She responded she wasn't scared and had only called after obtaining my listed number from a 'directory" in order to re-establish contact with my neighbor who she referred to only by her first name as if she were a friend. Deceptive calling probably in violation of the do-not-call act since I have no business relationship with DCS, Inc. whose name displayed on my caller-id. I've reported the call to my neighbor and local authorities as I suspect identity theft or an attempt to identify homes where the occupants were away for purposes of burglary may be the motives.

I received a call on my cellphone yesterday from this number.  The woman asked for my husband who was unavailable.  I asked who was calling so I could take a message for him.  She gave me her name, Marilyn.  I asked who she was with.  She made brief pause and then informed me she wasn't WITH anyone; she was alone.  I asked if she could tell me what this was the nature of her call.  She paused again and then told me it was personal.  At this point, I was a little irritated with her vagueness.  I told her if was so personal to call him on his PERSONAL cellphone and not mine and hung up.

FNU This Daveon Shortridge called my mother's house looking for me. How he knew my name and that this was my mother's telephone, I don't know why he singled me out.  I'm not sure what he thinks he will get out of me, but he left the 800 number listed here.  Joke is on him, I'm halfway around the world! I can't and won't call him back because A: I'm 11 time zones away, B: I'm reporting hime right here with the rest of you.

John Has called me multiple times left a message saying to call her back on this number about a time sensitive matter. Even began calling my friends pretending she was an old friend saying her name was "cynthia Zambrano" and that i once posted my number on her "wall post" and she wanted to get in touch with me. If they were smart they would realize that it is illegal to contact a federal agency in reference to collecting a debt on someone.  My wife received a phone call today because this company was attempting to locate an individual that they saw my wife was friends with on facebook.  My wife hasn't even seen this person for about 14 years so it was quite a shock.  There is a line and this supposed agency crossed it.

What I was trying to get at is my wife works for a federal agency and received this call while at work for an individual she hadn't seen in 14 years!

They called me and claimed to be an Attorney with the legal Dept. I could hardly understand him and when I pressed him for his bar number he started cussing at me and every other word out of his mouth was f*** this and f*** that. He told me I was mad (crazy) and then gave me someone else's personal information to include, SSN, Name. Bank Info, DOB, and email address - at that point I couldn't contain myself and started laughing at him. He got more angered and threated to show up at my house and hurt my family. I am a law enforcement officer and was smart enough to record the entire exchange. I called back the next day and said  nothing, just played the recording! I haven't heard from them since. I turned all of the information over to the Secret Service being that they have a special unit for this kind of thing, as well as the US Attorneys office whom also has a special unit for this type of crime against individuals. From my understanding the incinuation that this terrorist was an Attorney and representing Virginia is a federal crime, furthermore the threat against my families safety in an attempt to obtain money is extortion. Both can have these people locked up for some time. If you get any of these calls RECORD them and turn them over to a local secret service office - they will route to the proper place. Also be sure to turn over to yours states Attorney's office. As the case grows these terrorists will spend a long time in jail. More importantly if they happen to be out of the county and are having these calls routed through a US area code, as some do, they are going to have additional charges filled! NEVER give them your information, if they already have it they are fishing for the one missing piece to be able to cheat you out of everything, they will even go as far as asking you fax them something authorizing them to remove money from your bank. NEVER verify the information that they do have, tell them that they are wrong and as I said before RECORD it all!!! Furthemore, I live in VA and if anyone attempts to call you they will call you from an 804 or 540 number being that those are the only places that VA debt collection offices are. They DO NOT hire out for the purpose of debt collection. Also if ANYONE tells you that they are calling from the STATE of Virginia you can be certain that they are a fake - Virginia is not a State it is a Commonwealth and all employees of the Commonwealth refer to Virginia as just that - The Commonwealth of Virginia. I just received a call from Crystal Saavedra, looking for my neighbor.  Said she found that we were her neighbor and asked if I could get this message to her.  She gave her return number as 209-858-3712.  My caller Id shows the caller from DSC Inc at 209-858-3500.  What kind of scam is this?  What is this about?  Should I be concerned?
