MBK Have received calls from these "*******s" before. They are trying to intimidate people into believing they are from a government sponsored agency to help you clear a "false" indictment that might be a***nst you. Particularly a bank fraud that you committed. If you do not recognize the caller **** UP!! DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM OR AGREE TO SEND THEM ANY FUNDS. I personally threatened to fly to CA and kick the living **** out of them if they contacted me a***n. A***n, **** UP!!!!
Mother2B I s****ed getting calls several times a day from this number. I followed the advice in blAh!'s post and called the 800 number. I spoke with a man who explained that they were trying to sell a newspaper subscription to me. After telling him they were calling my cell phone, he further explained that they do sequential dialing which is when they find an area code to dial along with a prefix and dial 0000 through 9999 to make sure they call everyone. Supposedly they took my name off the list. Best advice I can give you is to register for the Do Not Call list!
Catlady Man w/Indian accent calls about 2 or 3 times a week at my work place. He asked for me by name and I ask him what he wants. The last time on caller id his number showed up as 311. He told me he was with the Social Security office and I was being offered a grant. I asked him for his number so I could call him back and he gave me 204-668-1100. I ***g up on him and called our local Social Security Office and reported him. A fraud report is being sent to The Office of Inspector General w/SS. Hopefully they will put an end to it.
