(231) 337-2002

I frequently get calls from this number. If I pick up there's no one there. If I ignore the ring, answering ma****e picks up and line goes dead. Caller ID always says "N883".

The ask me to hold for the next available agent and then they **** up. Very annoying when it happens every other day.

What's behind this phone number?  I read somewhere that when someone uses your line illegally, this happens.

I have gotten calls from this number too.I don't donate to any solicitations over the phone anymore.  I also donated to police benevolent.  Then got tons of calls.  The real final straw came when one of these "police" calls berated me for not giving.  (I suspected that this was a prison inmate calling).  The caller was rude and obnoxious.  I have explained this to all fraternities since then that this is why I don't support over the phone.There are good organizations out there.  Give locally, pay cash or cashiers check, stay anonymous!

Repeated unwanted calls from 231 area code. Last one was 231-337-2002 on May 28, 2010. Two calls this date and a short message stating "Please hold for next available..." Then just dead air. My wife has give to Fraternal Order of Police in the past and I read elsewhere that the terror marketers working these accounts are from that area. We will never donate to any solicitation ever a***n. I hope the FOP and others that use these services will read this and take heart.
