I received calls from this number at all hours of the day and night. For the past 2 days I got 9 calls! I don't know who it is. Can this be stopped??

I have been receiving calls from both 231-337-2142 AND 231-337-2140 and when I tried to call them back on a land line (just a fax line) it stated what everyone else is saying, a recoding of "This is an attempt to contact you about your order." I have no order and no order under my Fax Number so this is an obvious scam. I block their number on my cell and will be reporting them to the FTC since ALL of my numbers are on the Do Not Call Registry.

I receive several calls a day from this number leaving a voicemail stating an order I placed would not be shipped until they receive confirmation from me????????  I finally answered the call.  They had my name, address, and last 4 digits of my credit card number stating that I made a purchase on the internet within the past 6 - 9 months and that I would be receiving a $120 gas card rebate or so****ing like that. You can barely understand the name of the caller or the company they're calling from.  I told her to remove my number from theyre calling list, she simply said "ok, no problem it will take up to 72 hours".  Beware of whatever scam this is.

UNSOLICITED CALL

I have been receiving calls from this number for about a month, almost every day and sometimes twice a day!  I do not answer and I do not call back because no message is left.  I did order so****ing from Amazon.com recently.  I wonder if there is a connection?

Same call, same info, getting it from more than 1 number. Had my debt card info. Called my bank & got a new card. No longer answer any calls I don't know. They still call. I'm on the donot call list. Have 3 of these numbers calling. Some you call back aren't even servicable numbers. One now calls and plays songs on my answering ma****e, land line, they don't have my cell number.

These people are thieves. They just have some information of you from some websites that you previously made purchases, but they want to get the rest of it to get access to your bank account.DO NOT give out any info of yourself or any family member.

The same # keeps calling me but, I have not answered ant of their calls.

Well, I was just talking with someone on their cell phone and they took another call. It was 1-231-337-2142 and they said they were "Vista Marketing". The same stuff about placing an order recently with a credit card and what-not. Well, the person I was talking to said that this is a cell phone number and they don't take these kinds of calls. Anyway, when calling back the number they got the same info you guys have mentioned - confirming order, canceling calls from this number to confirm orders, etc. They called their bank and at this point there are no unusual charges - person at bank said it sounded like a Phishing scam and to not give any info out.

So I keep getting these calls too....they apparently call from different numbers because when I googled the first number, the same kind of responses came up. I'm not sure how you can stop these people, however, on the last one a lady said that she answered the phone and said "blah blah county sherrif's department"---they apologized and never called back a***n. May be a good idea for everyone who can't get them to stop. BUT for everyone's sake ----DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. I'm going to look into it, but there's some website from the government that you can submit these phone numbers to...you may have to google it. These ******s need to get a life. I don't know how they are obtaining these numbers. Has anyone ordered from Amazon lately?

This number called me too.  The person referred  to my name and asked if f I had the credit card ending in the last 4 digits of my bank card which they named. There was alot of background voices. They then said they couldn't hear me and disconnected.  I have seen this number before on my cell phone in the last month.  Seems like it is a scam. I will be wat****g transactions on my card very closely.  I won't call them back which might confirm they reached the correct person.

This number called my cell phone four times within 4 hours today.  I didn't answer the first three calls.  They never left a message.  I also called the number after the 3rd call and got the same message as Tarheel.  I left a message (pressed "0"), telling them to stop harassing me with their calls.  When the phone rang a***n, I answered it.  Similar story that Tarheel received, citing the last 4 numbers of my credit card.  He asked me if I'd watch my mail for free gas coupons.  I told him "NO", and to stop calling me because I'm listed on the National Do Not Call List and they have NO RIGHT to call me on this phone.  He ***g up on me.By the way, this is the second instance within a week that I received a call from the "credit card company" about the same account.  My credit card company does not have my cell phone number.  Therefore, I find this very disturbing because someone stole the information.

Just received that same call.  Didn't answer it, but called the number back and got the same message as tarheel!!! I hope they don't have my cc information.  I haven't ordered anything either.

Got a call from number 231-337-2142 to my cell phone. Lot of loud nose and laughter in the back ground. Guy asks for me, then says he's calling to confirm an order that I'd placed using a visa credit card with the last four digits of ****. These were my digits. But I've placed no orders. Still loud noises in background, hollering and laughing, when I asked him what? He ***g up on me. I called the number back it gave no business name. Just,*****o you have reached order confirmation department. We are trying to reach you to confirm your recent order. If we are unable to reach you, it will not affect shipment of your order. This is just a courtesy call. If you would like to hear hours of service or to leave a message when its most convienent to contact you, press 1 now... If you don't want further attempts to contact you simply press 2, we will not attempt to contact you on this order... If you would like to be put on our company's internal do not call list and not receive calls to confirm future orders, press 3 now.

EXTREMELY rude young man called me from this number. Called himself Sean Johnson or Shawn Johnson.

Called my cell phone 6 times in 2 days. I finally answered, saying only "Hello?" Some man said so****ing that sounded like "Wilmer?" I said he had a wrong and he said "Wilmer's not there?" I got mad and asked who the***** is Wilmer?!! and he ***g up.

I got 10 calls from this number today and when I call back it either gives me a busy signal or it just continues to ring.  They never left a message I'm****uming its a scam.

They have called 7 times in a six hour period. Same problem as with others. I did enter my phone number to have them stop calling. Thay have not. I filed a complaint with the FTC today. They are going to fine the owner of the phone number with $$$ as I have sent them the link to ths website for them to see numerous complaints. I hope they fine and jail these people.

Just received a call from this number so I decided to look it up since I had a problem just recently with another number 269-477-2150 calling me all day. Now I know another scam.

called me 4 times in one day (so far). no message.

Called me once just now on my cell. I never give out my cell # so I knew so****ing was up....the caller was a young african american male who was extremely rude!! I asked right off the bat what compnay they were with & how they got my info & he argued wih me that "if you didn't give it to us the how do we have it then huh!? Explain that!!?" I asked to speak with a manger & he said he was the manager. So, I asked to speafk with w***ver was higher than him & he replied with "no one is higher than me I can guarentee that!" I then asked to speak with a diffrent representative & he flat out said NO! I complained & so he asked the person next to him (which sounded like a white young man) if he would take my call his answer was " no, I already called her today & she was a b***h (which wasn'ttrue he never called)" the 1st guy told me that no one else wanted totalk to me so I demanded he give me his corprate # & information and he told me he won't give it to me. I said I was going to call the police if he didn't identify himself or his compnay in some way & he told me to go ahead so I ***g up! I am keeping records for now....I have found out he # is located in McBain Michigan  which is in missaukee county & the town has a population of about 500 so I can't imagine there is a compnay headquarters there. It is a landline.

I don't think they can, I think they have to get a hold of you to then try and trick you into giving information or at the very least some sort of 'go-ahead' to send you out so****ing - of course I could be wrong I'm just speculating, but if they are calling so many people randomly I doubt they already have our info

Just got a call from this number, and called it back, got same message as Tim.  I haven't ordered anything.  They better not send me or charge me for a thing.

They seem to call incrementally. I don't answer as I suspect its just call center scam trying to convince you to give them information as if you've already purchased so****ing from them. I called the number back from the line they called me on and a different line and I got the same message both times "this is a call regarding your recent order, failure to respond to this call will not affect your order, press 2 to be put on our dont' call list... ..."I'd recommend people ignore/block calls from this number, thats just my gut

Just received a call from an EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY RUDE young man from this number, who called himself either Sean Johnson or Shawn Johnson. The number is from McBain, Michigan.

they were looking for some dude named ***ndon. this is like the 4th call i've gotten for this dude, from different numbers.

They keep calling and stating that they are "Mrs. ****" (using last name of one of our owners), then **** up when I put them on hold to check it out.
