Spam calls

This number is linked to other numbers asking for money for children's cancer. After saying yes I got a letter. There are a few numbers in the letter. I checked them out with no results. Is this legit or not?

Asked for my 80 YEAR OLD GRANDMA and then wouldnt ID themselves- "oh this is a courtasy call"- then they ***G UP on me!! I call back and get told "thanks for my donation... Last one they get! Hope all thier ****s shrivel and FALL OFF
