Kitty I JUST got the call from this number, and googled it to see what it was, after I hung up not pressing 1.... It said "because your a customer of air canada you have won a special prize. Press 1 to accept" WELL since the last time I flew air canada was 3 years ago I knew something wasn't right.... and hung up, after reading this I'm glad I did

Gavin The number calling you showing +2896959898 is a SCAM. this is one of those calls that uses a machine to find a number that is not in service, and using it to show up on your caller ID.if you accept the charges, trust me when i say you haven't won anything.  You've been dooped. you will lose your money and will not recieve anything.it's not Air Canada, it's not a travel service saying you you have bonus travel miles.DO NOT PRESS 1 for more...

Answered. Pressed 1. When the guy came online, I told him that we were a business and to stop calling and he hung up before I finished my sentance.

Got the same call, press 1 for your special gift then the girl at the other end tells me a won a flight and that must be 28 or older to qualify for the prize. I said no (even tho i am) and she hung up.

Number only, unidentified name, does not appear in reverse phone searches otehr than that of belonging to a Thornhill Ontario exchange (289) - and will not respond to incoming calls and/or is busy.

I also get frequent phone calls from this number with guys laughing in the backround as well as 289-695-0019 and every time they call I tell them that I just purchased the place and the windows were just replaced by the previous owner and could they take me off the list because I'm not going to be purchasing windows for a long time.But they always call at least a coulpe of times a week and it is a problem for me because I have two little one that are in bed by 8:00 pm and they call right up to 10:00 pm.

I got a call from them today saying I won a carribean cruise for 2-4 people.  But then asked how I'd like to "pay" for the taxes that my country doesn't cover.  HAA!  They just wanted my credit card #..F-THAT.  I hung up on them

has been calling me all week, and when I pick up hangs up, I called right back today and when I did I got  "hello, 1,2,3... up to 15, it sounded like a man talking... was very creepy :(

A man with a very strong Indian accent called asking me when I am thinking of buying new windows for the house. There were other male voices talking in the background, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. The number is not associated with any company or name. My caller ID only showed the number and this number calls my house EVERYDAY.

I get calls from this phone number once a week. I just ignore it as an anoyance. I also think this may not be a valid number in North America. I get lots of calls for tele marketing from numbers like this and others. In one I won a trip for two to anywhere. The Catch was I have to send some money to get this. Few try to sell me long distance phone calls. Some for Insurance. Most callers have Indian accent.

Same thing as others mentioned happened today. ( This is a test counted to thirteen and hung up). Someone needs to look into this creep.

I think it's a caller from Mississauga, ON Canada in an apartment that is subsidized by ODSP.

when i retried the number I got this message... "hello.  yes this is a test. one two three ..." up to ten and then disconnected.

I received a call from this number  I don't recognize the number I did not answer the call I tried to phone them back always busy signal.

When I answered, nobody replied.
