This number was given by a candidate on ElligibleGreeks.com believed to be a scammer. It won’t allow me to see his profile. Apparently he goes by Kayross1984 and signs his message with the name Albert. It doesn’t even allow me to see city and state.

floridahigh I received a call w/ no message on the answering ma****e. Two day later I received a call on my cell phone. The man quickly suggested that he was calling regarding a debt that might have IRS consequences. He asked to confirm my name and my SS#. I inquired in some detail: What is your name? Who are you calling on behalf? What do the initials CRA stand for? What debt are you referring to? He informed me that this was a credit card debt to Chase from 2001. O.k., I responded, what can I for you? If I would just give him two minutes without challenging everything he said, he would explain. I said go ahead -- you have two minutes. He responded that it would not take that long. After one minute and fifty seconds, I informed him that he had ten seconds and he wound up his pitch -- just send him money and there would not be any IRS consequences. I said o.k., listen carefully as I closed the phone shut. It was actually kind of fun toying with him. FYI: (1) These slimes buy stacks of bank write-offs for pennies on the dollar with the right to collect anything they can. (2) Every state has statute of limitations on contractual matters. Therefore, the credit card company usually has three years to bring a formal action to collect the debt after which they lack any legal basis to initiate a collection action. [Caution: Sometimes a bank will get you to send a partial payment which s****s the statute of limitations all over a***n.] (3) Absent fraud, the IRS also has a statute of limitations on collection actions. (4) These slimes are just throwing a lot of s---- a***nst the wall and hoping some will stick (and I suppose some does).
