I received a text message from this phone number this morning. The person greeted me by my full first name. When I inquired who they were and who they were trying to reach, she messaged back claiming to be "Denise Gilbert from Life Care Centers of America". She said that she was contacting me regarding my resume. She stated that her contact was "regarding the positions of a data entry clerk, customer service representative and administrative****istant". Noticing the area code and telephone prefix, I asked where the facility is located, to which she answered "This is a remote opportunity". I respomded a d asked for details. She responded to my request with the following, verbatim: "Do you have google ****outs app so I can connect you to the iterview manager ? so you can know more about the position and also get s****ed with the interview session". I informed her that I do not. I then requested she email me the details of the position to the email address on my resume, as well as her direct contact information so that I could call in for an interview. Her response: "Can you download ****outs now?" I responded with hen following: "No, I cannot. What location are you contacting me from? The Riverview location is not hiring for these positions right now, nor anything remote". I have yet to receive a response to that. During this exc****e, I contacted the Life Care Centers of America in the area local to the number that texted me, which is in/around the Detroit, MI area. I inquired if there was indeed a Denise there, which there was no one in the hiring office by that name. There was no indication that they are hiring for any of the stated positions, and they definitely do NOT interview through Google ****outs! Also durong this exc****e, I received a text from another number, 435-271-4721, informaing me that a background check had been s****ed on my recent "appIcation" - with a capital i and no L - with a link to find out why and how it was s****ed. These people are doing whatever they can to prey on regular, everyday people and scam however they can! PLEASE be careful!
