They said they were hiring for Partola Pharmaceutical in California. Scam they went through an entire interview process and said I got the job and we’re gonna send equipment and a sign on bonus, I totally believed it because it’s a real company. I mentioned the phone number is on a scam list and he said “alright” and deleted the entire conversation ?? now if that doesn’t prove it idk what does.

Got a text message after applying for a job on LinkedIn. Said he was with Portola Pharmaceuticals. I was instructed to download Telegram to do an interview and are now in the process of sending me a check and HP laptop and other materials for the job.

(313) 209-4374 was a number used by someone pretending to work at Amgen Inc Company. His name was Andrew Collins which may be not his real name. This person used Telegram chat app for job interviews which is already bogus. However, he sent an actual offer letter with the Amgen company logo. It looks legit. He even overnighted a check for expenses. The check's funds weren't available yet but he said he needs me to set up my work materials. Of course, I was ready to purchase whatever I would be using, but I got a red flag when he started telling me that I need to buy gift cards to send to the vendor that will install software too the laptop. It's fraudulent. I had to contact my bank to pull out the check I Deposited the same day. Be very careful. These scammers are all over the job boards. Never give out any personal info like Social Security, Driver's License, Bank Accounts, etc.

So BEWARE PEOPLE!!! They even told me they were not really her, they were a Black Male and just using her information and pictures to lure people in to send BITCOINS to them! I received a text message from this phone number this morning. The person greeted me by my full first name. When I inquired who they were and who they were trying to reach, she messaged back claiming to be "Denise Gilbert from Life Care Centers of America". She said that she was contacting me regarding my resume. She stated that her contact was "regarding the positions of a data entry clerk, customer service representative and administrative assistant". Noticing the area code and telephone prefix, I asked where the facility is located, to which she answered "This is a remote opportunity". I respomded a d asked for details. She responded to my request with the following, verbatim: "Do you have google hangouts app so I can connect you to the iterview manager ? so you can know more about the position and also get started with the interview session". I informed her that I do not. I then requested she email me the details of the position to the email address on my resume, as well as her direct contact information so that I could call in for an interview. Her response: "Can you download hangouts now?" I responded with hen following: "No, I cannot. What location are you contacting me from? The Riverview location is not hiring for these positions right now, nor anything remote". I have yet to receive a response to that. During this exchange, I contacted the Life Care Centers of America in the area local to the number that texted me, which is in/around the Detroit, MI area. I inquired if there was indeed a Denise there, which there was no one in the hiring office by that name. There was no indication that they are hiring for any of the stated positions, and they definitely do NOT interview through Google Hangouts! Also durong this exchange, I received a text from another number, 435-271-4721, informaing me that a background check had been started on my recent "appIcation" - with a capital i and no L - with a link to find out why and how it was started. These people are doing whatever they can to prey on regular, everyday people and scam however they can! PLEASE be careful!
