this number has called many times, no messages left.
Received a call several times from a Patric Johnson from Department of financial investigations. I called them back and stated that I have researched them from the number which they have been calling from and the guy was not exactly happy. I told them not to call a***n.
Christina I have been getting the same call over and over a***n and they leave the same message with saying "good luck" at the end. I do have other legitimate creditors calling me and they do not speak like that. I received an email from a Elaine George as well with an attachment that looked like anyone could have created it- it was not official or anything. The people I was talking to had really weird names too like Christopher Chris, Dennis Daniel, and so forth. They said the name of their Company was ACS, Inc, located in California. Yeah right, they were fron India or some middle Eastern country. It was very difficult to hear them speaking. They too said I had taken out a payday loan in the amount of $350 and I owed on that loan. They said it was wired into my account with MetaBank. I told the representative on the phone that I never received these funds, nor have any account with Metabank. Do not trust these people, and make sure you take the necessary actions to report them and block them from calling you.

I received a call from this number today stating that I had 2 hours to pay off a fraudulent loan that I had defaulted on. They had my name and address and stated that I owed them $300.00 to stop the procedings or $600.00 to pay in full plus legal fees. I told them I had no cash advance loan with the number of companies they represented and had never had a payday loan at all. I asked Adam Smith (heavy arabic accent) for my social if they had it and he told me that he was not allowed to release that information. I told him that the call was a scam and I would have it traced to find out where he was. He stated "So you think I'm a scam?" I told him that if he had my info to give it to me and he refused. I asked for the phone number for the company I supposedly had the loan with so that I could verify it with them and he gave me 347-416-5262 and ***g up. I am turning this over to my attorney to follow up on. DO NOT RELEASE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE DIFINATELY SCAMMERS!!!!
Jim Bonhomme Hi Kristen, i'm also facing the same situation over a month now and today they call my supervisor telling them the same ****s. I really don't know what to do in that matter.
Caller stated his name was Adam Smith. He told me a writ had been filed a***nst me. He asked me if I knw about it. I told him no. I them told him I have been waiting for over a year for them to serve this writ and I was taping this call to give to the FBI and the FTC. Another person then asked me what I wanted to do. I told him to serve the writ so the FBI can arrest him. He said good bye and ***f up. I wish someone would **** them up.
wantthemstopped Telephone Collection Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans 12/01/2010—The IC3 receives a high volume of complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. In these scams, a caller claims that the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check cashing services. One of the most insidious aspects of this scam is that the callers have accurate information about the victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. The ****od by which the fraudsters obtained the personal information is unclear, but victims often relay that they had completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls began. The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide to the victims any details of the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers threaten victims with legal actions, arrests, and in some cases physical violence if they refuse to pay. In many cases, the callers even resort to harassment of the victim’s relatives, friends, and employers. Some fraudsters instruct victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain dollar amount, on a specific date, via prepaid visa card. The statement further declares that the victim would never dispute the debt. These telephone calls are an attempt to obtain payment by instilling fear in the victims. Do not follow the instructions of the caller. If you receive telephone calls such as these, you should:■Contact your banking ins***utions;■Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file;■Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger; ■File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
