Called at 12:56 pm on 3/17/11.  Left a message on my answering ma****e: "account services and we're calling in reference to your current credit accounts.   There's no problem currently with your accounts.  It is noted, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%.  Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice.  Please press 'one' now on your phone to speak to a live operator and lower your interest rate.  Or press 'two' to discontinue further notices.  Thank you and have a great day."Called at 12:56 pm on 3/17/11.  Caller ID showed "no name received."   A recorded, female voice left a message on my answering ma****e: "Account services and we're calling in reference to your current credit accounts.   There's no problem currently with your accounts.  It is noted, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9%.  Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice.  Please press 'one' now on your phone to speak to a live operator and lower your interest rate.  Or press 'two' to discontinue further notices.  Thank you and have a great day."The recording s****ed at "account services" in a clear attempt to give the impression the answering ma****e didn't record the beginning  of the call.   Also, the oddly constructed phrase  "It is noted, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility..."   is an obvious attempt to give the listener the impression the caller is saying "...that you contacted us"  in an attempt to  give the false impression the listener somehow gave the caller permission to call.  I had to listen to the recording several times to recognize the caller was saying "contact" and not "contacted."   The area code and prefix--406-219--comes back to Bozemen, Montana.   They are clearly using deceptive practices including blocking a valid caller ID.   This is clearly a scam of some sort.   I'm on the federal and state DNC lists (I'm sure they could care less...) and will file a complaint with the FTC.
