Anonymous I live in Daytona Beach, FL. This number replied to my Craigslist ad. They give story about moving, want to send check and when it clears they'll have a mover pick it up. Will add $70 for my trouble. They use a Landline in Laurel MT, surprising unless it's not a landline.

Leslie It is the Yellowstone Park Foundation. I asked that they send me the donation request in the mail so I could verify it wasn't a scam. They did and it was the exact same packet I receive every year. I'm sure they have several phone numbers, not just the one listed on their contact page on the website. They are very, very nice and will remove you from the call list. All you have to do is ask, no need to be rude.

Anonymous Soliciting mortgage info from on a daily basis

Just got a call with a man saying "I'm sorry" and ****ing up. Similar in a way to the 201 area code calls people have been getting lately (including myself) I don't understand what the point of these kind of calls are, can anyony explain? What's the point of this "wrong number/sorry/**** up" calls?

They've called me at least 3 times on my cell. Each time I connect to a live agent and i tell them to please take me off the call list.  each time they **** up immediately.  all you have to do is call them back and an automated answering ma****e will come on, giving you the option to press 1 to deny future calls. next time, $500 for me!

Calling them back to tell them not to call any more reminds me of "click here to be removed from our mailing list" .....ONLY to be sent another e-mail stating that they won't send you any more e-mails.This type of mentality only puts you at the top of the list for yet more calls.
