T. Oliver Received call from this number this morning caller ID said House Bright (Bright house I guess). Weirdly enough I answered (I never answer the phone always screen before). It must have been some sort of sales call because I heard lots of people in the background, like one of those telephone sales scams. There was no reply to my several*****o,*****o, and then GoodBye. I am a Bright House Costumer and that was the only reason I answered.

Shannon Just got a call from this number 3/29/11, at my office. She told me she was from AT&T and was giving me a courtesy call to let me know they are lowering my long distance rates from $12 - $3 cuz we use less then 200 mins.  We do have AT&T as a cellular provider but we dont pay long distance on cellular so i asked her if she meant our land lines. 'Yes' she said. So i told her that AT&T is not our landline carrier. She then told me that our current provider gets the line from AT&T. So i asked her if she was trying to SWITH my long distance carrier??? And she said 'yes'.  Then i told her i wasnt authorized to approve that kind of service and could i get her name and number and have the person in charge call her back??? She then ***g up......... SCAM!

Mark Fuller Energy Savings Company. They c****e cell number quite frequently. Claim it is not a sales call, that they just want to set up an in-home meeting to see if you qualify for Federal or State tax breaks (every does when you purchase very efficient appliances ). Hence it is a masked sales call, not on the call itself, but rather when they come out to your home. I have reported them many, many times to the DO NOT CALL list violations, but this gets nowhere, and they c****e their cell number very often. I think my next strategy will be to accept their offer to come to my house, and then send them away. Maybe after 10 - 15 visits to my home, they will get the message and remove me from their list, especially with the cost of gas no***ays.

Ann Marie They try to talk you into a free home energy audit with the promise of $3700 rebate from the government. They claim to be calling on behalf of FPL (who denies this). The FL Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs says it is a scam, call them at 1-800-435-7352 to file a complaint.

dj This is getting beyond ridiculous.  These a**holes are really ****ing me off! They have been calling my cell phone almost every day for about 3 months, and they call from a different number each time. There is never a live person on the line -just a recorded message that leaves a number for you to call back. They claim that they are affiliated with FPL, Progress Energy, and OUC and want to come out and do a "free energy audit". None of those companies even provides the electricity to my house!
