i got the same thing as all above that my social security number was blocked and my address was blocked...how can u block an address? and he had all of my bank account info...

I am very glad, yet unsettled at the same time, that I found this page, I received a call from this number and ignored it, but was curious as to what the message was, thinking it might've been an inquiry to my post in the local classifieds. Needless to say I was quite surprised when I heard the message: This is officer John Modey or so****ing or another, with law investigating, my ssn has been blocked and so****ing about my address being investigated, if i dont call him back harsh legal action will be taken.at first i figured it was friends playing a prank call based off the harsh indian/middle eastern accent, and simple stutters/mess-ups on words as if they had written a script down and was trying to read it word for word too quickly.Anyways, glad to know this is a scam and i will ignore, but i am also worried based on how other people said these(or this) criminal/s had other information such as previous and current addresses, and possibly bank account and SSN info. My plan is to file complaints/reports to my local police, as well as the four links Tiffany posted above(FBI, FTC, Secret Service, and Pittsburgh AG), but before I do, I wanted to know what others thing is the best course of action, and what you guys have done?I am amazed at how many hits are on this site already, its terrifying that some low life criminal has acquired such info on so many people. Fortunately this page was the first hit a google search of the number returned, and hopefully that will prevent people from returning calls to this thief and sending money or other personal info.

They are claiming to be from the American Legal Processing Division (Law and Investigation's Unit of "The Courthouse" in Pennsylvania) The "officers" that phoned me were Tom Moody (isnt he a pro golfer?) and Roger Johnson (wow and a professional soccer player!) This man keeps calling me saying he's with "the fraud and investigation department" and that if I don't call him back within the next 24 hours they're filing a fraud case a***nst me. He didn't give any information except his multiple names which included Officer Michael Johnson, Officer **** Fawna, and Officer Michael Ball. He also had the heavy Indian accent. He called at work a few times the other day, and called today about 15 times. He has my cell phone, my girlfriend's cell phone, my home phone, and my work phone. He also stated that there is going to be a full fraud investigation at my address. He does have my home address.

I filed a police report on tony,he called my job 20 times just saying "when are you going to pay me my money back,without knowing who is on the phone.When my co workers would ask what money?That's when he would say let me talk to darlene,she owes me money.I had a police officer come here and caught one of the calls and that's when he stop calling.

Me a***n.I called the Pittsburgh Police Department, and they told me I had to file a police report in my own city first. Then the Police Department can forward said report to them so that they can investigate. So I just filed a police report in my city.I would suggest you all do the same. It is very unsettling to know your information is out there like this, and definitely want this creep caught!!!

I've never done business with this cash place, which makes me wonder how in the world this creep got my information!He left a message on my cell phone saying he was Tom Modey, senior investigating officer from Law and Investigating Department. He said the purpose of the call is to notify me that a lawsuit has been filed a***nst me and my ssn has been logged by the us government. If I want to help myself, I need to call him. And if he doesn't hear from me, he's "sorry about me, be ready for legal action". I called back (from a blocked number), and when he answered I immediately said "I'm on the national Do Not Call list, so I want to know on what authority you called my number". He said, what's your name. I told him Tiffany (no last name or other information). He said he needed more information. So I said, "what company do you work for".... He kept giving me the runaround, never answered the question, and s****ed getting belligerant. He said financial, internet, private companies hire him to collect money owed to them by people and I owe money. I a***n asked what the name of his business was, and he tells me "this is not a business". I said, sir, no reputable company is going to hire a business that doesn't even have a name. What is the name of your company. Of course, he could not answer me and s****ed yelling, and I just ***g up.

I just received a call from "Attorney Brian Johnson" very similar to the above. Heavy Indian accent, claiming criminal charges were about to be filed on me and I needed to show up in my local court next Friday. When I pressed for paperwork and told them I've never been summoned to court via a phone call, he got beligerent...yelling, cutting me off. Unreal! I, too, have used cashnetusa.com but it has been over 6 mos. since I last used. I think they should be held liable if this many of their former client are getting these calls. I am going to report to local DA.

I had the same thing happen.A little more info:I did get a bridge loan from cashnetusa.com last week, and I found the website after sear****g on what I thought was a very secure computer and connection.The Indian sounding guy said the company I borrowed from is in a law suit and he was in charge of collecting due money. He wanted me to call back on this number, ask for ANthony Fernandez, and to pay back the loan. However, he didn't even know how much I owe or when I agreed to pay it back. Very shady...which prompted me to call the cashnetusa.com 800 number, and they said their company is in good standing. Sooo, I definitely will not be calling back this number and let them steal my money! It's bad enough that I'm gonna have to pay 15% interest on a 2-3 week loan.What crooks! I'm gonna do my best to get these guys caught

This idoit called me at work today claiming I committed fraud. I called the number back and it said the voicemail box was fulled. This moran better not even think about calling me back. He also called my cell phone. I applied for a loan on line and I believe that is how he got the information. I am so angry that I could scream. Do yourself a favor, don't talk to him and **** up. Since he barely speaks english you probably wont't understand him anyway. What tape of person does this. God will get Mr. Johnson.

PS: The telephone number comes back as an unpublished number in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I will be contacting the Pittsburgh Police Department.

To any and all who read this, I am a Law Enforcent Officer in the Great State of Maine. Tonight, 10-28-09, I recievd a complaint of fraud. With out getting into priveleged information, here is the deal. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Do not give these people any information. Ask lots of questions and write the questions and answers down. When I called the number and s****ed asking questions the male subject, of Indian/Middle Eastern desent, s****ed yelling and swearing at me. He stated he represents "CASHNETUSA". I would suggest you get as much information as possible and give this to your local police authories or State Attorney Genera's Office.

I received the same message today by same guy.  I called back asked to speak to an American, due to caller was hard to understand. I was told that there was a lawsuit a***nst me for a payday loan and he even had my previous address. I asked them for verification and to give me more information, of course I know its a lie, don't have any loan. He s****ed yelling , was very rude when I s****ed asking questions and then ***g up.H told me his name was Officer Anthony Williams, such a liar and such a scam. I am vgoing to be very  careful with my personal info on the internet in the future, anyone can be getting access to our info!! People are crazy!!

This indian accent person called me and said there is a lawsuit on me. The problem is when he called it sounds just like the messages above. Please everyone if you have a call like this close your banking accounts. He had all of my information and I have never heard of this guy before.I tried to call teh number back and it rings busy.

I just received a call today on my cell phone from a man with a heavy Indian accent saying a law suit had been filed on me but my SS was blocked. He DID have my home address. Very scary

I received a call today from a man calling himself Officer Scott. He also had a very heavy Indian accent and said that a lawsuit had been filed on me and that my social security number was blocked. I did not return the call because I wanted to investigate this phony sounding call. Be careful of scams like this.

I have been called numerous times by a guy who calls himself Officer Neil Johnson that I pay $550 claiming that I have committed fraud & if I don't pay him I will be arrested. He said that he was working for united states bureau of investigation & when I asked him who he was representing he got upset and rudely replied that all I needed to know is to pay him because he was not interested in answering my questions & was loosing patience & that if I did not do as he says in the next two hours I will be arrested,This guy has a heavy Indian accent, a very very rude "son of b***h". Please people how can we stop these thieves?
