Kevin S. Received a call telling me I won a $100 dollar gift certificate from Wal-Mart. When I tried to open the site address they gave me my antivirus kicked into high gear with a "Dangerous Malicious Site" warning. I said that to the gal who I was talking to and she immediately ***g up. I tried to call the number back and was blocked. Definite spammers!
jon Its an art ins***ute in san francisco.Got 3 calls from them. One yes****day and two this morning. 1st one this morning I didn't answer. Haven't checked for a voicemail. 2nd time I picked up and said*****o--no answer. I said it twice more--no answer. 10 seconds later--dial tone.I called back 15 mins later and a woman answers. I tell her I got missed calls from this # and she explains they're an art ins***ute in Frisco and they received my request for a digital media or art program.Lol I've never filled out such a request and wouldn't as I never even thought about going to school for that.I HAVE however filled out online requests for business and healthcare schools/programs. That's where they mustve found me.Judging by the # of others who received this call, they must be a recruiting school...especially looking for people who requested school info online like me even if it wasn't in the art/media field. Pure recruiting technique and borderline scam. She asked me what kind of business and healthcare I wanted to get into. I told her and then she asked me if I wanted to do the art/media thing. I told her no I never thought of doing that. LOL why'd she ask me about business and healthcare if its only a art and media school?LOLThen that's when she said "oh ok ill update your number/status in our system" or so****ing she was soft spoken. Basically she placed me on do not call.So if I get another call from them ill be sure to tell them I was just placed on do not call and obviously that list is bogus since clearly it doesn't work.
Julius C They called me to get free gift

Mr. William Tinsley calls repeatedly and gets very rude and abusive if you inquire what the call is in reference to, he tells you that you obviously don't know what is going on if you have to ask. How crazy is that?! We just want him to stop calling!
Mr. William Tinsley called me today on my job asking for my grown son. He stated that he works with Attorneys everyday and would sue me. Below is the State of California info on Do's and Don'ts of bill collectors. Write to the Attorney Generals office with your complaint as I did today. Together everyone he har***** can get him stopped if they all inform the Attorney General's office of his illegal practices. He had no right to inform me of my son's debt. Mr. Tinsley stated "He owes money here".Go to the website: http://www.weblocator.com/attorney/ca/law/b16.html Prohibited ****ods of Collection in CaliforniaAlthough most debt collectors operate in an ethical manner, some resort to abusive or fraudulent tactics to collect on accounts that are past due. Most states have very specific guidelines regulating what debt collection agencies can and cannot do when attempting to collect unpaid debts. The California Fair Debt Collection Practices Act regulates consumer debt collection practices. The purpose of the Act is both to prohibit debt collectors from engaging in unfair or deceptive practices and to require debtors to act fairly in entering into and honoring their debts. Consumer debts are defined as money, property or their equivalent owed from a person to another person or to a business en***y based on a transaction that was primarily for personal, family or household purposes. A debt collector is any person who, in the ordinary course of business, regularly engages in debt collection on his or her own behalf or on behalf of others.
