This is a scam artist, he has used the name of Steve Thomas, saids he is in TN, gets on date site's. He uses the number, 515-324-8787...

They called me twice in a row but didn't leave a message.

Simon2 These guys are NOT Wells Fargo. These calls also originate from 800-944-4601. Caller ID shows Wells Fargo or Unknown. Wells Fargo contacts you only through the internet or US Mail. These guys ask you to repay a "loan that you forgot". Don't answer. If you i***vertently pick up, I've read that some people have told them they are going to call the police and haven't heard from them any more.

I confirmed via Wells Fargo Home Mortgage at 866-234-8271 that this number is one of 10 or so numbers at the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage main office.  They are calling mostly likely about late mortgage payments as initial steps toward foreclosure.  They will record the call and use any information obtained toward the foreclosure process.  When they try to extract information one needs to state the purpose of your call to them and not get chatty unless you want help them.

Annoying calls should all be reported.There's rule... including for marketeers...

called once, I didn't answer hoping they'd leave a message.  Second time I answered and I was su****ious and wouldn't answer his questions.  It's Wells Fargo Home Mtg.  Is this legitimate???
