It s****ed few months ago in 2009.  This number calls my home asking about my visa card that ends in ****.  I don't quite remember how everything goes but a few weeks after that call, I s****ed to receive tons of magazines like People, Inc, Rolling Stone, Womens Health etc. They kept charging my credit card about $39.95 each month.  NOW I AM receiving bills in the mail for national readers publications in the amount of $79.90.  I have to cancel my credit card to avoid auto monthly charged.  After 2 months, they still keep sending magazines to my address.  Today, I received a statement date 1/15/2010 that I have a due for the amount mentioned.  There's no phone number to call to opt out from being charged.  This company is a BIG SCAM.  Don't give any credit card info.

I get calls from unknown numbers like this all the time. First of all, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Secondly, I have a ring-back song that plays for the caller while they wait for me to answer. The auto-dialers these type of people use do NOT like the music, so they **** up within seconds of the music s****ing. I never thought "Love, *** & Magic" would be USEFUL! LOL I'd advise others to follow suit with music of their choice. It's a GREAT time saver!  =)

I tryed calling your company today.  I have been recieving several magazines I did not order- at my age (74) why would I order Shape-Inc-Rolling stone? I have checked and I am paying for 10 magazines, not ordered.  I am closing my credit card that was charged to.  I figure i am out 79.95 plus 6.95 total 86.85 do not send magazines do not try to use that card.  Carole Worthington-Geldmacher

in the past 3 days ive gotten 11 calls from them. no joke!! and im sure they have called a million times before that. i never answer wierd numbers but next time they call i think i will just to tell them off. theres another number that calls alot too. its a 410 area code i think its from maryland. i looked up the number n fround the similar stories. i never onced answered their call n they eventually stopped calling. its definitely linked to online purchases so BE CAREFUL!!

this number has called my cell phone 4 times today and when I answer they **** up.  I called the number back and they state they are a marketing department.  Working for a bank I caution everyone give them nothing not even an address.  I got a call the other night and was asked to verify my address and when I told the lady "you called me right" she ***g up.

I have been receiving anywhere from 1 to 4 calls a day from this number.  I was immediately su****ious when the first call came in because of the unfamiliar area code and I was thankful for all the other posters here as it proved my su****ion correctly.  I have never answered their calls and do not plan to and the caller never leaves a message.  I do not know how this group got my private cell number which I have had a little less than a year.  I saw that some people bought a product on line and believe there is a link.  When I think back, I too made a risky purchase from Ivory Bright Smiles (a free trial that is not free at all and a scam!), and I fear they sold my info to these crooks at 517-931-2011.  I have seen that some of the posters have answered and gotten their sales pitch and even some have been strong armed into merely affirming personal info.  I have always been cautioned from giving any personal info to anyone calling unless you can call and verify they are who they claim.  Despite some of the creative responses posters here have provided, I have yet to read one that tells me they have had success or even were able to eliminate and protect a***nst this obvious scam.  I did see someone posted the "Do Not Call" web page, thank you.  Has anyone found success a***nst this group?

I have refuse all offers from this number yet they keep calling me

This number has called me numerous times a day.

I receive a call from this number at least five times a day everyday.

they call me three times a day. I keep telling them to stop and they wont, i dont know how they got my information and always **** up on me when i ask for their information to report them!!!

this number calls my home at all hours night or day. they call saying that they need to s***k to me about my visa card that ends in **** and I tell them I do not have a visa nor do I know any number ending in ****. then they question me if i am sure. NOW I AM receiving bills in the mail for national readers publications in the amount of 74.55..I do not get anhy magazines or books.. and i refuse to pay for so****ing that i did not authorize

this number calls my phone all the time (even weekends) but there is never anyone there when i answer.  when i call back, i get a busy signal or voicemail.  werid and very annoying.

I have received two calls from these people......some guy said my name and aasked if I was he....when I replied yes they ***g up.....this is creepy and unacceptable......

Same thing happened to me.  They called me today twice and told me that I was a long time Visa customer and as a loyal customer they wanted to send me $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card plus magazines free of charge.  I was su****ious because they were like, this is about your Visa card.  I was like, which one?  And they gave me the  last 4 digits of a card that I had just cancelled last week after noticing false charges on it.  When I told them it was cancelled they immediately ***g up.  About a month ago, I also got a call about a "Federal Grant" that I was going to get $5000 from the government.  I knew it was b.s.

Just received a call from this number and from several others, mostly 866 area codes, mostly the same routine, tell me they're calling about my Visa card or give me the last 4 numbers of my Visa bank debit card and some routine about some promotion.  That particular card is with a particular bank who I've informed.  I've called Verizon Wireless, I only have a cell phone, and they've blocked 5 of the numbers who've called, that's their limit.  I can't remember if I've called my bank yet but I will.  I just emailed our state attorney general and told them about it.  Some of the numbers are stored on my cell phone so I can supply them.  I will press charges, they have part of my debit card number, and I will appear in court if necessary.  I've found numbers on other  sites as well and from what I can tell, ***ody can get to them.  I've tried calling some of the numbers and get busy signals.  I'm going to try so****ing different next time.  This time I just yelled and ***g up.

Received a call- woman with a polish accent trying to give me gift certificates for being a loyal us bank user.  sketchy.  called us bank and they have no such similar campaign.  I THINK THIS IS FRAUD- SOMEONE TRYING TO GET THE REST OF MY INFORMATION OR WHO WILL TRY TO OPEN SO****ING IN MY NAMES.

I also agree with Samantha, I have never ordered a snuggie and I got the same call saying that I have been a loyal master card user. I also told them never to call me back but they have continued to call. I think they are very sketchy people. I don't trust them and nor should anyone else.

I have received five calls from this number since April 26. I never answer the phone because I don't know the number. Tried to call the number back and no answer but I could leave a message. I looked the area code up and it is a MI area code. I too have recently bought a snuggie. I just think TV infomercials companies have to be selling our numbers.

I got a call from 517-931-2011.  The lady said they wanted to send me a Walmart gift card for $100.00 and they kept asking about my account ending in ****. I never bought a snuggie but I have recently ordered so****ing from off of TV called ***pits.  It must be the same company that sells our information.  After her asking to confirm my phone, address etc, I said once a***n, "I won't be charged for anything, will I?"  She ***g up.

I got it too. Mine said it was in reference to my Visa that she was 'concerned about.' Early in the morning during law school finals section this ****es me off quite a lot. I wish cell numbers were easier to block.

I just got this call A***N. Asked them several times to leave me alone. I'm NOT a Snuggie customer...lol.  Same thing about the Visa and claiming they are calling about a card ending in ****...I always deny that is my card and then they **** up.  The ****s talk so fast and panick when I try to question them! This is getting ridiculous!

I also purchased a snuggie and I do think that the snuggie people sell our info but there are other companies that do as well. I have been receiving calls from the number 269-768-2512 as well and if you look it up it looks like the connection is so****ing called Bromalite and Asai Berry? I have never purchased either product. The main thing is to recognize it's a scam and that your credit card company isn't going to call you for anything other than a severely over due balance. So unless you call the bank don't give out any account info over the phone or web. Also don't send account info to you spouse through a text because it may not be them. Good luck every one.

Used the card in question to buy Snuggies about four months ago. Female caller called at 8:40 p.m. pacific, a little late for a sales call. She said that she was calling in reference to my Visa card ending in ****. I said, "Which card is this?" She said, "the one with the Visa logo on it." I said, (rather angrily) "What's this about?!" She ***g up. May not be exclusively Snuggie purchases, but this seems to be too common of a link to ignore.

This has nothing to do with ordering a snuggie... i have never ordered a snuggie nor would i want one... when i first picked up the phone it was a woman telling me that she was from MasterCard company and that because  ive been a preferred customer for so long they wanted to lower my interest rates that they just wanted to lower my interest rates... and asked to verify account numbers and card numbers ending in **** which i wont give over the phone...and told them to take me off there list and not to bother calling anymore that i was just fine with my service.... they have kept calling and ive missed calls and tried calling back not recognizing the number at first and getting no answer... so they called back today saying the same thing how they were from mastercard but this time they wanted to send me a gift card thru the mail for being a loyal mastercard customer for a long period of time which i a***n wasnt interested in... i explained to the woman that i tried telling them that ive told them that i didnt want to be contacted a***n from this number and that i have said this numerious times to them and that they still keep calling... so then she went to go **** up but before she could i asked her a***n to verify what company she was representing and she said that her company was national readers publications...But i have looked up the number online that they have been calling from and other people have reported giving them there info not knowing and that they have seen crazy activity on there credit report and there bank cards as well as credit cards some time after...so i would be careful with this number like i said before i dont think this has anything to do with snuggies since ive never even had an interest in buying one nor have i bought anything off the internet or over the phone in maybe 3 years...so the word needs to be spread so they can be taken care asap before someone else trusts them...or thinks it has to do with there snuggie or anything else they might have bought.

Got a few calls from this number.the first one they kept calling about a credit card ending in whatever for MasterCard and they wanted to mail me some stuff for being such a good customer like a 50$ gift card. but they just needed to verify some info and it would be sent out right away... that they had all my info on there computer and that they knew how long ive had the credit card. stuff like that. other times that they have called they would just **** up. today they called a***n and kept saying or atleast trying to say the same thing... i kept telling them every time they called to take me off there list and that i thought they were a fraud... well today i got sick of the phone calls and my asking them to no longer call me even if they are who they say they are (which i doubt they are) that im not interested in whatever gifts they have to offer me and i asked what company they were from they told me national readers publications? so im about to call them and see whats goin on and give them the phone number that they called from to see what they have to say about it and then try to take appropriate action myself. sounds fishy to me when national readers publications is trying to give me stuff from mastercard and has all my info on there computer screens. oh another time a week or two ago they were trying to lower my interest rates on my credit card too. but they work for national readers publications.?....hmmmm....

Called me and had last four digits of my visa...said I had won a 50 dollar gift card and a magazine subscription. Funny thing though, he would not tell me the company he represented.  If you have purchased anything online, I think this company is buying your info...

I, too, received numerous phone calls from this number.  And, now that I think about it, I have ordered a Snuggie recently too!  I bet that is the connection.

Do not give them anything. I got a call from a different number about a Wal-Mart gift card offer a few weeks ago. I was going to tell them to f off if asked for account information, but all they asked was to verify my address so I played along.  A next week su****ious charges on my debit card, fortunately stopped it and got charges refunded. Doubt it was a coincidence. Scary world where just address do that much damage. Now I see this number on my caller-ID, unlikely just a coincidence.
