Keep one thing in mind when you get these off the wall calls:  there are companies out there whos purpose it is to verify that phone numbers are WORKING.  Every verified phone number that gets answered is worth a few bucks to these clowns who pass them on (read "sell") to other telemarketing companies or other divisions within their own company for the live calls.  Most **** ups are from automated ma****es that simply want to verify that your number is valid, working and gets answered.These ma****es are also programed to register numbers that return a "disconnected" recording, so here is my tip:  Get a copy of the "I'm sorry, the number you are trying to reach.....blah blah" recording and use it for your greeting on your voice mail.  This is one way to shut the ma****e down.  It might create some problems for others, but just let everyone know you have a trick recording on your voicemail!  Most ma****es listen for the three tones that preceed the mnessage anyway so you can come on the line and say so****ing like "just kidding!"  Get it?Good luck.  Orville

They told me they were a satellite tv company and that I needed to give them personal information about myself to get free satellite TV.  I said, "Please do not call--" and I was ***g up on. This is the most dishonest way to conduct business I have ever seen.

recieve call from dish network to purchase their service.  I asked to be put on the do not call list and was ***g up on.  What you must do is call this number back and press 1 (one) then put in your 10 (ten) digit phone number and press pound # to be put on their do not call list.The only way that this number could call was if they (A For-Profit)Telemarketer was "Calling on Behalf" of a Non-Profit Organization

I have spoken to a "real person" from this number,and have told them to stop calling...remove my number..but they still keep up the excessive calls day and night.There has to be a way to MAKE these places stop calling...how do they get our numbers anyway????
