These guys are running a scan to get your creditcard information. The will get rude ad try to bully you in the end.DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION
On September 25, 2009, I received a call that was dead-air at first and then a recorded voice recorder came on and said that a friend put my name into a draw at Zellers/or a store and I was special to get this deal of $99.00 per person for me and a friend of mine to go at this $99.00 each. The recording gave me a3-digit number to give to their agent. Then the recording said to press #1 if I wanted to speak to one of their sales people. A guy named George s****ed his s***ch and asked me for my 3-digit number. He then punched the 3-digit number in and I could here telemarketers talking rude, unprofessional, obnoxious in the background. When I went to ask him further questions, he ***g up on me without thanking me for my time or giving me a professional website and toll-free number to call back. Professional telemarketers that are legitimate would thank me for my time, not **** up in my ear, leave a website and a toll-free number at least and information. I was annoyed and I do not think his real name is George either. (it is an alias name he uses). DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS, LAST NAME, OR ADDRESS TO THESE PEOPLE. Let your elder relatives know not to answer the phone to unknown numbers and about the 'Do Not Call List'.
Just listened to the message - Has anyone pressed "Two" to remove you from the list? My message said "Press 1 for your vacation" and Finally at the end "Press 2 to remove yourself from this list"Will it work?Do I dare try?
My number is 1 week old. 5 calls already. Just reading what Greener1 wrote makes me want to give these guys a piece of my mind and offer to meet them in person "to discuss things".
Two calls earlier today. No message left.
Just called me. Dead air for several seconds until the ma****e picked up, then automated ma****e offering vacation deals. I ***g up.Scammer, by definition, but I didn't wait long enough to listen to who they were.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! Read on for my story.I just received a call from 517-931-2669 from Chris at Costa Rica and Cancun Resorts. He asked me who he was speaking to so I only gave him a first name...he should know, he called me, this is a new number and I'm unlisted and on the National Do Not Call list. My SCAM alert was way up already. As Chris was talking, I goggled his company and telephone number that displayed on Caller ID and that led me here. I got LOTS of information to share and hope to fill in the blanks for others. Chris claimed that someone in our house filled out a form at a Sears or so****ing and offered me the trip that everyone is talking about here for $99/person. He told me that he was calling from Rhode Caramel, IN for RCI. I am a member of RCI with two timeshares and have not ever received any telemarketing from them EVER.Chris passed me on to his supervisor, George Bears who said that he was the Director. George sent me to a few amatuer websites (www.mycrtrip.com and www.easycrtrip.com) to reassure me of the companies validity. Both of these are amateur like websites that give to further information of the company itself. I said that and he then relied heavily on RCI's reputation and that this company represents RCI. I told George that I was looking at a website that says this is a SCAM and that the BBB didn't have their company registered. He then sent me to the BBB.org website to look up RCI's reputation. I told him I was well aware of the fine reputation of RCI but that his company IS NOT RCI. His company comes up with a Maitland, FL address and he said that they were definitely not in Florida. Because I asked for more information and would not give a credit card over the phone to him, I was passed on to Kendal who proclaimed himself the "main boss or CEO or whatever you want to call me". Kendal went on for 10 minutes to sweeten the deal and offer the three years, additional vacation deals, etc. When I told him that I was investigating the company on a website that claimed it to be a scam and that I have never in 20 years received a call from RCI and just don't trust the call, he went on to refer back to the other websites. I asked Kendal to take us off their list and not call a***n. I was not going to buy into this vacation deal. He was astounded and sputtered "what" many times. Could not believe in my rejection. Kendal then began to tell me that they do not remove numbers that what they do with people like me who waste their time is to call them every single night. He was personally going to call me every single night and pull the huge c*ck out of my throat, wished that I had bought so****ing so that he could personally steal my credit card number and ruin my life. His language was ****** and he was physically threatening. When I told him of his legal obligations to remove our number from his lists he said that he was in Costa Rica and none of our laws apply to him there. I have reported this company to the CRTC and also the local police. Protect yourself and DO NOT GIVE ANY TIME OR PERSONAL INFO TO THIS COMPANY.
no message - it's a fax call and I get one at least once per day. How the heck do I get this stopped? Caller id says "Michigan"
