(562) 289-8164 has called several times since I got the new phone number, even though it is unpublished.  Caller ID showed "svcs" or most times was blank.I eventually got so fed up that I called the number back on August 20th.The phone was picked up immediately, with a pre-recorded message.The company name sounds like Naps or Maps.  The message said "Press 1 to put your number on our do not call list"I pressed 1.Time will tell.

Like almost everyone on who comments, I have comcast phone.I did catch the call and spoke to the woman on the other end.Ironically, its a sales call for dish network!they're probably dialing all comcast, time warner, etc customers to get them to switch.

I to have service from Comcast.  I have never used this line.  I have connected it to my computer as a designated FAX line.  Let them have fun talking to my fax.  Comcast SmartZone phone history shows it as "Location: LONG BEACH, CA"

have had service for the first time in this state from AT&T. As soon as service s****ed and was working OK, I got the number put on to the do not call list.One week to the day after service began, (562) 289-8164 called the number.  I did not answer (and there's no answering ma****e on my line for them to pick up).

They called me at 5:00pm today. Left no message. I just reported them to the do not call list.

Caller ID: Name = Out of Area ~ 562-289-8164 ... We have Verizon & the minute we c****ed our phone # (unlisted too), these calls s****ed coming in from several different #'s including above #. If you answer, they tell you all kinds of untruths of winnings etc. It is a SCAM company. My Verizon Rep said that she got them also. She advised to NOT answer the phone to ANY #'s you don't recognize & they will stop calling. Most of them stopped except this one above phone #.

This number calls just about every hour from morning till evening. No one is ever there, and when I called back a recording says "you may press 1 to be placed on our 'do not call list'. However, the calls keep coming. Time Warner Cable (my phone provider) says they cannot do anything about it, they cannot block it, and they profess that they did not give my number out to anyone. But my phone was hooked up less than a week ago and so far I've only had calls from telemarketers, including a few who have asked for me by name. Incredibly frustrating.

CAN SOMEBODY MAKE THEM QUIT CALLING!!!!!!!

I came home from work today at 4pm EST.  Its now 6pm and I have gotten TWO calls from (562) 289-8164.  My caller ID also shows that another phone number (that belongs to Viking) called my house at 3pm.I recently moved to my new home and got a new home phone number.  My relatives still cannot remember my number ... but these ****s seem to have no problem tracking me down.I just regis**** on the Do Not Call Registry.  I'm annoyed that it's going to take 31 days.I do believe that by law if you answer the phone and tell them they MUST take you off their call lists they are supposed to do it, or else you can report them.  I have a terrible migrane and I am FED UP with ***** telemarketers bothering me.

These telemarketer scoundrels have lobbied for a 31 day window in which they call even after you register.  And check out all these loopholes!!  This from the National Do Not Call Registry website:"If your number is disconnected and then reconnected, you may need to re-register. In addition, there are actions that you or your telephone company might take that could cause your registered phone number to become unregistered — even if your service has not been interrupted (such as c****ing calling plans or other services, or c****ing the billing name on the account.) To verify that your number is in the Registry, go to www.donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY: 1-866-290-4236). Each time you re-register, telemarketers will have 31 days to take your number off their call lists."

I've gotten calls from that SSS (Spectracom, according to the Better Business Bureau), the 562 number (which reads on my caller ID as a Cell Number, which is not true), and a Guardme Security company - I've reported the Guardme number to the BBB (twelve calls in three days!).

We just got our home phone thru comcast and have not even had it long enough to give our number to anyone. Yet somehow these people and the 800 Service keep calling. I answered the las time the cell phone CA number called and it was some foreign lady on the other end.

Same here- Viking magazine, 800 service, this number and also Thomas Fazio. They all keep calling - it is sooo annoying. I haven't even given the number out yet,so I know that these are all telemarketers. I am very tempted to call Comcast and cancel !

I obtained phone service from Time Warner two weeks ago. Since that time, I have been getting approximately 3-5 calls per day. All pre recorded, for me to call a number. I am even on the National Do Not Call List.

I also just switched to Comcast and s****ed getting these calls.  Probably 4 so far in two days.

I just got my number c****ed with comcast also, and I get the 562-289-8164 ALL THE TIME! I got them calling me the second day after I got it c****ed! How would anyone get my number that fast!? Gotta love my Comcast cable! I am about to give up on the service all together. I never answer it anyways due to 99% of my calls are from telemarketers!! Frustrating!

I also just signed with Comcast, and these calls are driving me crazy 10 calls in less then 8 hours! I've had to turn the ringer and answering ma****e off!

Forgot about another one, that Viking Magazine one until I just got another call from them!  Also a couple others too.

Why do they keep calling? Does it really work for any of these sobs?  just got this new phone setup & number from comcast & almost immediately received calls from this number (562-289-8164) & from that **** 800 service one!! Does comcast immediately sell out numbers?  It's crazy. I have never turned on answer ma****e, never answered any calls of either & registered on the gov 'do not call' list, but they continue on.
