DB Caller claimed that they had ust been arrested after failing a breathalizer test outside Atlanta airport. Gave contact info and telephone number for a "public defender" to call (609 948-0839) and for me to assist with bond money.

Gene Jarvis This was a, “Hi, grandma/grandpa; I’m in jail and need $10,000 bond” scam call. I did my “old man” character/voice and played along. He said the call “from the police station” was limited to 7 minutes and he had to go, but left me with the name and this phone number – allegedly his “public defender’s” number. I have not called it.

Calls me 3 to 5 times a day. Will not leave a message when the answering machine comes on. When I answer the telephone no response from the other end. I hang up and they call right back with the same thing.

Calling my daughters phone 5x a day asking for a name that is not in the household.  Explained thru their options they have the wrong number and a live person comes on.  Will not identify their company, phone number or employee number.  Stated they would call this number as many and anytime they feel like it.reporting it to all authorities for harrasment and calling a child.

I got several phone calls from this number.  If I picked up the phone it's always silent.  You don't have to harass people this way.....

Not only do they hangup every time they call (most every day), if you try and call back to get your name taken off the list, the number 'isn't working'.  It's sad that someone has the time to call people all day just to hang up.

I'm the owner of a small business in southern NJ and I received a call from this number 609-948-0982. The caller ID showed up as Brigantine, NJ. Luckily I did not answer but, made sure to add this number to my "DO NOT ANSWER" entry on my phone. That way I'll know next time these worthless grease balls try to call me. Jay Yup, I'm getting about 2 calls a day from them.In the past I've picked it up and ended up donating money twice so now I know better not to pick up.I just don't pick up but it's really annoying.I basically don't pick up any unknown call or a number I don't know so we'll see who gets tired first. I mean I don't call people saying I need money because I need a new desk. Why are the police any more special? It doesn't give them any right to harass people like this.

Jay I just found out they are actually "Italian American Police Society of New Jersey".If so, it means that they benefit only the Italian cops.This is ridiculous.Why do they have to separate themselves from the other races?Isn't this America and shouldn't the Police be the one to be the most equal-opportunity type of organization?They should at least just call Italians then.

Gary E. Meyer Caller called my business line and sasked for the owner.  I asked if it was a sales solication call and he then proceeded to tell me about how we can help officers and how much they need bulletproof vests and the like. I began to respond by saing "No, there is.." and he hung up on me.  Absolutely rude an frankly I donate a lot of money personally and through my business, but I would not recommend this organization for this reason alone.  Whe I combine it that the organization is really the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey with a different DBA name cloaking their identity, I am offended.  This is a no brainer-NEVER donate money to a phone solicitor, lest not this place in particular.

This company has been calling my place of business on a daily schedule and its driving me nuts.  I stayed on the phone to ask to be removed from their list, but the telemarketer hung up on me.

I got a call from 609-948-0988 today. I have an unlisted / unpublished phone # and we do not give that number out to anyone except family and our kid's school. Everyone else we deal with gets my husbnad's cell phone. So how did they get my # and who are they?

I have gotten several calls from this number as well, none of them I've answered.  One last night at 9:20pm!  That's too late for me.

I frequently get calls from this number but have yet to be awake or available when it arrives.  There is no message left and when I try calling the number back, I get a strange message telling me that I have called a number removal service.

Missed call at 11:08am 4/19/08.  Who the heck is this?  It's from New Jersey and I know noone in New Jersey.  How can they get my number?  What company name is it even under???

My husband answered this call.  A live operator came on and immediately began telling him that his warranty was expired and he should never drive while not under warranty.  He then asked if she even knew what kind of car he drives...  she was obviously flustered and said she didn't have 'the postcard' in front of her.  He asked "what postcard"?  She said "We sent out postcards about a month ago".  He again tried to ask her what kind of car he drives.  She got upset with his questions and told HIM he was being rude... then hung up on him!  I have NO idea what this is all about.  I know they are probably scaring people who don't know any better, though.  (You should "NEVER DRIVE while not under a warranty"?????  What in the world...)

Maiasaura "James" is a shill for the telemarketing firm that is calling. They call every week, and again today, oftena hang-up call. Last time I got a human and said don't call. I'm on the Do Not Call list. Put me on your DNC list. The girl said, we don't have a DNC list, we're calling on behalf of a charity, so we don't have to use the national DNR list.  It's a telemarketing firm, not a real charity.

James I got a call from this number, ID said njpof and the guy was really nice. I checked out the foundation and saw that they really helped out with vest for new  officers. I gave a donation and i was also able to use it for tax deductions.

Maiasaura Called twice in one day, asking for a made-up name. Wehn told they had wrong name, he tried to give his pitch about representing police officers and their families. I said no thanks, put us on your do not call list. Moments later, another call. Told they had just called, I asked to be on their do not call list and said I'm on the national do not call registry, so why keep calling? Today they called and hung up. Caller id said NJPOF.

Dom Just got a call and researched the number. I'm at work, a small family business, and was asked "Is the owner of the company is there?". I said no, and he said "Have a GREEEAAAT day".Sounds like they are fishing for money and/or donations. Or maybe Tony The Tiger is prank calling...

Robin I have been receiving up to 10 calls a day from this phone number to extend the warrant on my vehicle.  Both of my vehicles are 1996, were bought used and I never had a warrant on them.  I have not owned another vehicle in the past 9 years.  I pressed one to renew my warranty.  A male answered.  I asked to speak to a supervisor because I am continually receiving phone calls.  The male said I was a racist and racists could not speak to supervisors.  He told me he calls because he loves me and can't we all just get along.  He refused to tell me the name of the business and eventually hung up on me.

Chris This is the first call I've received from this number telling me that I also needed to renew my vehicle warranty because it had expired several weeks ago. I just purchased my new vehicle 4 months ago. It asked me to press 1 and when I did the line hung up on me.

ER they called about a warranty on a car i don't own. i've never had a warranty on a car.
