I have recieved calls from FOP as well. I have heard this is a scam. These State Police officers make over $100,000 a yr, and town Officers do as well with all the details they do, so why do they ask for money? They pay for their unions, and if unions need more money raise the fees. I love the police, however, they are very well paid, and details are $50 an hr, they get good benefits!

The cops are asking for a DONATION?  Their annual pension is 3 times more than what I make in a year (and I'm funding it. They contribute NOTHING to mine.  O, that's right...as a small business owner I don't get one!). They retire early, rip off the public with tens of thousands of dollars in bogus OT and, up until recently, have gotten the Quinn bill for gravy.  Their health care is top notch and cheap (I pay almost $22,000 a year for a family plan).  Like every government ***nch, they make far more than they're worth and their obscene compensation, both on the job and in retirement, will continue to prevent us from climbing out of this recession.  Whether these calls are legit or not, I would never donate.  The poor babies are just going to have to get by with their triple-figure incomes.

That's what Caller ID was for, no message.  This is precisely why I do not answer the phone unless I know who's calling and why BEFORE HAND.

I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.massfop.com. Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for *****chusetts police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

We just received a call from this number.  When we don't recognize the info on the caller ID, we just let it go to the ma****e.  If we recognize it, we pick up when they s**** talking.  It just ***g up as soon as it hit the ma****e.

Asked for me by first name, said "speaking", said he was from Mass Fraternal Order of Polic and I'm not in trouble, I ***g up.

Just got a call from this phone number. A man s****ed to ask for me by name, while my answering ma****e message was playing - but then ***g up without leaving a message.Interesting that they used my first name only...

Do not donate!  This is obviously a scam!!  No u****ht charity organization would randomly call and ask only to talk to the "lady of the house" for donations without sending in any materials for fact verification.  They called and this gentlemen asked for the "lady of the house".  If they are for real, they can talk to the man of the house and ask for donations as well.  This scam has been reported in NYC.  BEWARE!

This is the fraternal order of the *****chusetts State Police.  They're looking for a donation.  My 13 year old ****ed on the bathroom door while I was in the shower to tell me, "The cops are on the phone, Mom!!".  Needless to say, I had a heart attack.  That's all it was - donation time.
